EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES Hat-confectioner. Focus secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: The magician, speaking of the power of magic, declares that he sees one person among the audience, whose hat has wonderful magical properties. But obviously the owner of the hat doesn't know anything about it, otherwise he wouldn't be here. The magician goes to the audience and asks them only for a few minutes for a hat to demonstrate its "magical" properties. He puts his hat on the table, after showing that it is empty. Then he takes a large metal glass from the table and says that he knows a very good recipe for cookies that can be prepared in one minute. Showing the glass empty, he breaks the egg, pours it into the glass, pours in a lot of salt. - And the pepper will not hurt: the cookies will be sharper, - he says, - and pours a lot of pepper into the glass. - Ah, sugar! Sugar pose was! - pours sugar, stirring with a spoon. - It seems to me that flour is needed, but the trouble is, it is not there. Well, nothing, we will pour the powder. Perhaps too thick. Add water and oil - pour water, oil and stir thoroughly. Approaches the hat and slowly pours the contents of the glass into it (Fig. 67).
An empty glass is placed on the table. The viewer, understandably, is nervous. “Nothing, nothing, don’t worry,” the performer persuades him. “Not yet,” he lights a candle and, taking his hat by the brim, holds it, shaking it over the flame. After extinguishing the candle, the illusionist declares that everything is now ready. He takes a plate from the table and goes with a hat and a plate to the audience. Approaching the viewer who borrowed the hat, he asks him to hold the plate and pours cookies from the hat onto it, which he treats to the audience. The hat is returned to the owner. - Thank you, you really have a magic hat. When you get home, you can safely cook cookies, cake and even sweets in it. Props: Metal glass with a secret insert. Candle in a candlestick and matches. Glass and carafe with water. Sugar in a sugar bowl. Pepper and salt in a pepper shaker and salt shaker. Bottle with vegetable oil. Tea spoon. Several pieces of small cookies. Fresh chicken egg. Focus secret: The secret of the number is that glass B has insert A inside (Fig. 78), which should easily, without friction, enter into it and be completely invisible in it.
It is best if glass B has a round rim along its upper edge, and the insert is semicircular, which could be placed on the rim of the glass, as in Fig. 78, V. Then the insert will not be noticeable (its side will close the side of the glass). The same device will allow, when necessary, you move the insert and remove it. The insert is installed in the glass so that when the vessel is turned upside down, it easily pops out, and when the glass is put on it and lightly pressed, it is firmly held inside. The size of the glass is arbitrary, and its shape should be conical to the bottom The insert is a metal cylinder with a partition-bottom in the middle (in Fig. 78, A, the bottom is shown by a dotted line). The bottom of the insert should be free to hold the egg, as well as two tablespoons of powder, salt and pepper. When you pour these spices into a glass, pretend that you are pouring a lot of everything, but in fact only a part gets into the glass, and the rest is sprayed into the air. In addition, water and oil (one third of a glass) should enter the insert. Before the performance, carefully wipe the glass and the insert, which you lower into the glass freely, without pressing on the walls. Put a few pieces of small butter cookies in its upper part. Put a charged glass with cookies on the table. Of course, cookies should not be visible to the public. Taking the hat from the viewer and putting it on the table, the performer takes a glass and, raising his hat with the other hand, talks about his recipe for making delicious cookies. He covers the glass halfway with his hat, shakes it and covers the glass again a little. Then, putting the hat on the table, he imperceptibly releases an insert from the glass into it. The insert remains in the hat, with the cookie at the bottom and the empty hole at the top. Show the glass empty. It is best to “accidentally” drop it on the table and, lifting it up, wipe it inside with a napkin and tap the walls with your finger or stick. If the insert falls into the hat unsuccessfully, on the wrong side, you should not be embarrassed, you will easily find the opportunity to quietly place it properly. After the insert is lowered into the hat, feel free to proceed to your "cooking". Here the imaginary seriousness with which you pour products into a glass will help you. The audience will cheerfully accept your efficiency. Before pouring the "solution" into the hat from the glass (in fact, into the insert), mix everything thoroughly so that there are no large lumps, as, falling, they can get into the hat and contaminate it. Pour in a thin stream, lowering the glass lower and lower to the hat. - Maybe you want to try? - you turn to one of the spectators. - What a pity, I have nothing left, the last drops! - Saying this, you lower the glass into the hat, quickly put it on the insert and immediately take it out of the hat with it. Then everything goes according to the description. This number requires a good pre-training and working out all the "operations". Author: Vadimov A.A.
