EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES Incredible release from the ropes of a bound person. Focus Secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: The magician demonstrates to the public two one and a half meter ordinary (unprepared) ropes and asks two volunteers to go up to the stage to assist him. Each viewer is given one of the ropes to check its integrity and strength. The audience checks the ropes, and at this time the magician places a chair in the center of the stage. After the audience confirms that the ropes are flawless, the magician sits on a chair and allows two volunteers to tie their legs at the knees and their hands at the wrists. The spectators, making sure that the magician is securely bound, cover his wrists with a large piece of cloth. Instantly, one of the magician's hands is free, but before the audience can remove the cloth, the magician's hand is again hidden under it. When the cloth is removed, the audience sees that the magician is bound just as securely as before the cloth was thrown over. The magician asks the astonished spectators to tie another knot in the ropes above their wrists. They then cover the wrists again with the cloth. And again the magician is freed from the ropes. This time, by lifting the fabric, the audience sees that he has completely freed himself - no other way than the ropes penetrated through his arms and legs! Focus secret: For this trick, you will need two one and a half meter ropes, an opaque square scarf with a side of 1,2 meters and a chair. 1. Invite two volunteers to the stage who will agree to assist you. Give each of them one of the ropes to test. While they are checking the ropes, place a chair in the center of the stage. 2. Take the ropes from the audience and hang them on the right hand. We will call one of them rope A. The middle of rope A should lie over the index finger of the right hand closer to the thumb. Now take another rope from the viewer on the left. Let's call it rope B. Place the middle of rope B between the index and middle fingers of the right hand, closer to the fingertips. 3. Passing the ropes from your right hand to your left, you must make the following series of movements. When you do them, the spectator on the left, at your request, will bend down in front of you to "check" the chair with another spectator. 4. With your left hand, grasp rope B at a point about 15 cm below the center of the loop, and let rope A slip from the index finger of your right hand into the loop formed by rope B. 5. With your right hand, lift the base of the loop of rope B and bend it over rope A to point X. 6. Cover the hooking of the two ropes with your fingers, closing them. 7. The audience believes that the two ropes pass straight through the closed palm of the left hand. 8. Two spectators have already checked the chair by now, so stand directly in front of it. Invite the audience to stand side by side, each on their own side of the chair. 9. Now put your right hand behind your legs and grasp both ends of rope B with your right hand. The left hand still holds the hook in the palm of your hand. Bring the ends of both A and B around the legs so that the "hook" is under the left knee. Then sit down and at this point, lay the loops in the bend under the left knee. 10. Hooked loops should be brought exactly into the inner curve of the left knee so that when you sit down, you firmly clamp them under the knee. Next, the left hand slips out from under the knee outward along the rope. 11. Note. At the end of stage 10, the audience sees only two separate ropes passing directly under your knees. 12. Cross the two pairs of ends on your knees, making sure that the left side pair B crosses the right side pair A from below. Pull the ropes. You have undoubtedly tied your legs at the knees. 13. Put your hands on your knees. The loops, hooked, are held firmly in the bend of the left knee. 14. Invite a spectator on the left to tie your hands tightly at the wrists, making as many knots as they wish. 15. Ask the viewer on the right to cover your hands and knees with a handkerchief. 16. Under the scarf, turn the brushes to the right. You will find that the left hand will easily free itself from the rope. Take your left hand out from under the handkerchief, straighten the handkerchief with it. Usually this action is accompanied by friendly laughter in the hall. Quickly slide your left hand under the handkerchief and into the ropes. Turn your hands to the left so that the ropes are taut again. 17. Ask the viewer on the right to remove the handkerchief. The public sees that you are still firmly connected. For persuasiveness, invite the viewer to tie another knot on top of those that already exist. 18. When the knot is tied, the spectator standing on the right, at your request, again covers his knees with a handkerchief. Once the handkerchief is in your lap, twist your hands to the right as in step 16. This time, release both hands and remove them from under the handkerchief. To the laughter of the audience, grasp the ropes through the handkerchief and, having released the loops hooked with the "hook" with your left knee, sharply lift the handkerchief with the ropes. Ropes hang freely from under the scarf, apparently magically penetrating through the arms and legs. 19. Stand up and drop the handkerchief with the ropes on the chair seat. Thank the volunteers for their help and congratulate them on how cleverly they tied you up.
