Focus Description:

The magician borrows a cigarette and a coin from the audience. After that, he presses, with a little effort, to press the cigarette into the coin and ... lo and behold, the cigarette goes right through! After a short demonstration of a cigarette in a coin, the magician pulls out a cigarette, and the coin remains intact.

Focus secret:

For this trick, we need not a tricky device - a coin (X) with a hole in the center. The hole should be about the size of a cigarette. When the cigarette is inserted into the coin, the gap must be very small so that the hole cannot be seen on close inspection.

You take a coin (A) from the spectators and, after displaying it from your right hand, put it into your left. When you demonstrate a cigarette to everyone in a brazen exchange of a coin (A) for a coin (X).

While piercing, close the hole with your thumb and slowly move it away, bringing the cigarette closer (the coin (A) is in the left hand during the whole trick, do not light it during the show). Next, you take out the cigarette and immediately close the hole with your finger, show the cigarette, at this time you again change the coins, and give the coin to its owner.

1) Coins throughout the trick do not leave the left hand.

2) The focus will look more effective with a burning cigarette.

3) It is better to have coins of all denominations with you.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Low noise precision amplifier 29.09.2007

Texas Instruments has introduced a single-voltage op amp with e-Trim precision and very low noise. The OPA376 combines very low bias voltage (less than 25 µA) and wide bandwidth (5,5 MHz) in microminiature packages.

In addition, the op-amp is characterized by a low noise density of 7,5 nV / Hz and a current consumption of no more than 950 μA. The combination of these characteristics meets the requirements for static and dynamic characteristics of filtering, data acquisition and single-voltage systems.

The op-amp can be used in sensors and signal processing stages, wireless communication devices, medical devices, portable test equipment, and consumer audio equipment.
