EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES Mysterious cards. Focus Secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: Shuffling them, the magician invites the spectators sitting in front to take these cards for verification. The audience is watching them closely. The performer asks to shuffle the cards again and divide the deck into two equal parts. Then, turning out the pockets of his trousers and showing the audience that they are completely empty, he asks them to say in which pocket to place one half of the cards, and in which - the other. And at the request of the audience, he puts each half of the cards in the appropriate pocket. - Now that everything is ready, - says the performer, - you can proceed to the main demonstration of the focus. You will name any cards in the deck at will, and I will instantly take them out of the pocket that you indicate. The spectators name the ace of spades and ask to get it from their right pocket. The performer instantly removes it from there and throws it on the floor. Then the audience calls the red lady, but they are already asking to get it from their left pocket. A moment - and the lady is already in the hand of the performer. The stunned spectators call the cards one by one, and the performer, as if nothing had happened, gets them exactly from where the audience wants. The effect is extraordinary. But then there was a sly man who decided to test the performer and wanted to get all four aces from his left pocket at once. And the performer, smiling slyly, replies that the desire of the viewer is the law for him. And he takes out four aces from his left pocket. As soon as one of the spectators calls four aces, others demand four jacks, then two queens ... The performer continues to fulfill all the wishes until not a single card remains in the deck. The share of this trick always falls unprecedented success. Focus secret: This trick requires two decks of cards without sixes and a secret belt with pockets, shown in fig. 86. He plays a major role in this trick. It's easy to make. The volume of the belt should correspond to the volume of the performer's hips. Its central part is somewhat wider. It has four pairs of pockets on two floors, approximately the same as the pockets in the "cash desk" of letters that every first grader has. You can also say that the device of this belt is similar to a bandolier.
One deck of cards is taken and distributed according to their value: four sevens, eights, nines, tens, jacks, queens, kings and aces. Every four cards are placed in the belt pockets. In the lower floor, from left to right, there will be sevens, eights, nines, tens; in the second floor above them, also in degrees increasing in the same direction, are jacks, queens, kings and aces. The order of the suits in each four of the cards laid out is also unchanged. The first suit is diamonds, the second is hearts, the third is clubs and the fourth is spades. In this order, each group of cards should lie in each pocket of the belt. This secret belt is worn under the pants before the performance, like a loincloth. Naturally, the central part of the belt with pockets containing the cards encircles the lower part of the performer's abdomen. But to get to the cards through the pockets of your trousers, you need secret through cuts. They are made parallel to the cut line of a real trouser pocket, 1,5-2 cm deeper. I recommend making them on a clasp in the form of a small button so that they do not open ahead of time. The second deck of cards is placed on the illusion table before the performance. When the time comes to demonstrate the trick, the performer takes this deck from the table and gives it to one of the spectators for verification. He, in turn, willingly shuffles them and, at the request of the performer, divides them into two equal parts. Then the audience suggests putting half in the left pocket and the other in the right. The performer does just that, after first turning out the pockets of his trousers and assuring the audience that they are completely empty and that there are no secrets in them. The focus demonstration begins as described at the beginning. The spectator names the desired card, for example, ten of diamonds. At this time, the performer, having unbuttoned the buttons of the secret through pockets, touches the belt with both hands. He must firmly remember that under his left hand on his belt are nines and tens on the first floor, and on the second, above them - kings and aces. Under the right hand in the first floor are sevens and eights, and above them, respectively, jacks and ladies. You have to be very careful and focused. Always remember firmly which cards remain in each pocket of the belt. The performer heard that he needed to get ten tambourines. He quickly realizes that it lies first in the far left pocket of the first floor of the belt. He pulls it out of his pocket and immediately asks the spectator who named this card from which pocket he should take it. The viewer names the right pocket. Then the performer passes the ten of diamonds inside the trousers to his right hand and takes it out of his right pocket. Now one of the spectators calls the red lady. At this time, the performer's hands should already be on the belt again. They must be kept ready, guided by the cards lying in the pockets of the first floor. In this case, you can't go wrong. To get the queen of hearts, which is placed above the eights, the performer's right hand quickly slides from the first floor of the belt to the second and, while counting, draws out the second card - this is the queen of hearts. Now that she is ready to go out, the performer asks from which pocket this lady should appear. The viewer calls the left one. The performer, passing it to his left hand, takes out a card from his left pocket. In order to avoid mistakes, one should remember which cards have already been drawn, and also warn the audience not to name the same card a second time that has already been drawn from the pocket. The easiest way is to fulfill the desire of the "cunning" spectator, who will ask the performer to get four aces at once, say, from the left pocket. They are just under the left hand above the tens. Pulling them, all four, from the extreme waist pocket of the second floor, the performer takes these four aces from his left pocket and throws them on the floor. If the choice fell on the jacks and you also need to get them from the left pocket, then the performer looks for them from the edge above the sevens with his right hand, pulls them out and passes them right there to the left hand. Then, respectively, extracts all four from the named pocket.
