Focus Description:

The magician takes ten cards from the deck. Five of them are red and the same number are black. Cards of the same color (all the same, red or black - the main thing is not both at once) are turned face down. Then the illusionist gives all ten cards to shuffle to the viewer. After the shuffle, he puts the cards behind his back. Then he lays out the cards again in five pieces. And lo and behold - the number of open cards (that is, lying face down) in each five will be the same, and these cards will be of different colors.

For example, if there are three red cards in one five, then three black cards will be open in the other five. This trick can be repeated as many times as you like and it will always succeed.

Focus secret:

The magician behind his back simply divides a pack of ten cards in half (five each) and, before showing the cards to the audience, turns over one of the halves. And the focus will turn out automatically! From what this follows, everyone who has studied arithmetic will understand. For this trick, you can take any even number of cards, you just need to make sure that there are equal numbers of red and black cards.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

TZ1041MBG IoT Processor with Bluetooth v4.1 17.09.2015

Toshiba adds the TZ1041MBG IoT processor with Bluetooth v4.1 support to the ApP Lite series.

The development of the Internet of things and wearable devices increases the need for an appropriate element base. Low power consumption and support for advanced wireless interfaces can be considered important features of application processors for this application area.

Both of these qualities are inherent in the TZ1041MBG processor, which Toshiba has added to the ApP Lite series.

According to the manufacturer, the novelty is suitable for use in wearable devices, including physical activity monitors, smart watches and other devices in the form of bracelets and glasses. It complies with the Bluetooth v4.1 specification and, by supporting the functions of a Bluetooth hub, forms a universal communication environment for IoT devices and wearable devices. In other words, Toshiba TZ1041MBG fits the role of a sensor hub.

In addition to the Bluetooth controller, the TZ1041MBG configuration includes an ARM Cortex-M4F processor core, a digital signal processor, and a floating point unit. The list of I/O interfaces includes I2C, UART and SPI. There is a high-resolution 24-bit sigma-delta ADC with a high-speed switch for connecting three input channels, 256 KB of SRAM and 8 Mb of NOR flash.

The TZ1041MBG adopts the power-saving technology already proven in other devices in the TZ1000 series, which allows you to change the supply voltage depending on the clock frequency. Dimensions TZ1041MBG - 6,70 x 8,00 x 1,59 mm.

Introductory samples of new items should appear in October this year, and the launch of mass production is scheduled for early next year.
