Focus Description:

The magician takes a rope with tied ends, shows it to the audience and cuts it with scissors. The resulting two ends are clamped into a fist. The rope instantly “grows together.”

After this, the magician turns to the audience and offers to repeat the trick again. The same rope is cut at a point diametrically opposite to the knot. The ends are tied together and trimmed with scissors. Rubbing the knot with his hand, he shows the rope to the audience. The knot has disappeared, but the rope is safe and sound.

Focus secret:

Cut a piece of white elastic rope one and a half meters long, connect the ends and sew them with white thread. Cut the ends of the thread. This connection is secret and viewers should not know about it.

On the side opposite the secret connection, make two small loops and, passing a small piece of the same rope through them, tighten them slightly. The result will be a fake knot, which will be perceived by the audience as real.

Taking another twenty centimeters of the same rope, make a loop, put it on the main rope and fasten the ends.

Focus Miraculous Rope

Before performing a trick, place the prepared rope on the table behind an object. When you take the rope from the table, do not forget to grab it with your left hand about thirty centimeters from the false knot. There should also be a movable loop in this place. Covering it with your left hand, lift the rope and show it to the audience. While talking about the magical properties of the rope, clench your left hand into a fist and with the fingers of your right hand, remove from it a part of the movable loop, which the audience will mistake for a real rope.

Insert one end of the scissors into the loop, cut it and trim the ends short. At the same time, you need to have time to grab the piece of rope remaining from the loop and throw it on the floor along with the rest of the scraps. Now all that remains is to put the scissors on the table, rub the rope in the place where the “cut” was made, and show the audience that the rope has “grown together.”

Moving on to the second part of the trick, grasp the rope with the thumb and forefinger of your left hand so that the false knot and the secret connection point are opposite each other. Carefully cut the rope at the junction.

Spectators will be sure that you have two ropes tied in a knot in your hands. They don't know that the node is fake.

Take the two loose ends of the rope, trim them with scissors (to eliminate any remaining thread that was used to sew them together) and tie them with a double knot. It will be difficult to distinguish it from a fake knot made in advance. Now you have a rope ring with two knots in your hands. Place the scissors on the table. Take one knot in your right hand and the other in your left hand and show the rope to the audience. When you go to the table for scissors, place both knots in one hand for a second, and when returning to the audience, leave only the false knot in your left hand. This should be done easily and naturally, so that the audience does not suspect anything.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Kateeva YIELDjet Explore Pro Inkjet System 03.12.2017

Kateeva, the maker of OLED inkjet systems, has unveiled the YIELDjet Explore series of OLED inkjet systems. The series includes the YIELDjet Explore and YIELDjet Explore Pro models, designed to form primary color sub-pixels (RGB). According to the manufacturer, the YIELDjet Explore Pro system will enable the development and pilot production of large OLED panels, such as those designed for TVs.

The actual shipment of the systems began before their formal presentation. Kateeva has already shipped four systems. Delivery of three more is scheduled for the second quarter of 2018.

The experience of developing the YIELDjet Flex system, which is already used in mass production of OLED panels for mobile devices, came in handy when creating the YIELDjet Explore series systems. YIELDjet Explore and Explore Pro are based on the key technologies embodied in the YIELDjet platform, with an emphasis on reducing the time needed to translate designs into pilot production.

The YIELDjet Explore system is designed for panels up to 200mm2, while the YIELDjet Explore Pro is designed for panels up to 55 inches diagonally. Both systems support simultaneous printing with multiple "inks" (up to nine). This allows you to speed up the evaluation and comparison of multiple materials during the development phase.
