Focus Description:

In this trick, with the help of a "magic" pipe, you can turn one cube into another (for example, yellow into red) and vice versa.

Focus secret:

The "magic" pipe is made from two small empty cans - about 8 cm high and 6,5 cm wide - insulating tape, black paper and glitter. Take the cans and put them together bottom to bottom.

Wrap the middle of the pipe with electrical tape to securely hold the cans together. Glue the entire pipe with black paper so that the cans are not visible. After that, decorate the magic pipe with sparkles. Stand the pipe vertically and discreetly hide the red cube in its upper part, and place the yellow cube next to the pipe.

Focus Magic Trumpet

In front of the audience, lift the "magic" pipe, quickly turn it over and put it on the table again so that the red cube does not fall out (you will have to practice beforehand). Drop the yellow cube into the top section of the pipe. Then pick up the pipe. Contrary to the expectations of the audience, under it will be not a yellow, but a red cube!

To turn the red cube back to yellow, just as quickly turn the pipe over again, place it on the table and lower the red cube into its upper compartment. Raise the pipe again and show the audience that the red cube has turned yellow!

With such a "magic" pipe, not only cubes, but also scarves can turn - one object into another, etc.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

The oldest black hole in the universe has been found 10.12.2017

American astronomers from the Carnegie Institution announced the discovery of a new galaxy, in the center of which is a supermassive black hole. Scientists suggest that the galaxy formed 690 million years after the Big Bang.

The galaxy and black hole formed during the era of reionization - it is believed that at this time the universe was covered with clouds of neutral hydrogen, which blocked most of the starlight. Over time, quasars, considered one of the strongest sources of energy in space, ionized the hydrogen, causing the universe to become "brighter".

The new galaxy was named J1342 + 0928. During its study, it turned out that the galaxy is especially rich in metals. Astronomers have noted that this is typical of the very first stars, which consisted almost entirely of hydrogen and helium.

Also, in the accumulation of interstellar dust, astronomers found a large amount of carbon, and in the very center of the galaxy, where the black hole is located, nitrogen, magnesium and even silicon.

Such observations can say one thing: this is a new, previously unknown type of star formation, shared Eduarda Bansados, lead author of the study.

Scientists speculate that the early universe contributed to the formation of massive, unstable stars that exploded after a few million years, producing metals faster than the universe in its current state. New stars were already formed from the "remains" of the former ones, thereby accumulating heavy elements in themselves, the authors of the study concluded.
