Focus Description:

After handing out blank sheets of paper to the audience, you ask them to write any number from 1 to 20 on them, and then put them in a bag that is prepared for this on the table.

Having collected all the sheets from the audience, you take a slate board from the table and wipe it with a sponge, demonstrating that the board is the most ordinary. After that, wrap the board in newspaper and put it on the table.

Having asked one of the spectators to take out one sheet from the bag, you show everyone what number is written on the sheet, and say that the spectator chose the sheet himself, without your participation, that you thus had no opportunity to find out in advance what was written on this sheet. a number on a piece of paper, but with the help of a magic wand you will transfer this number to a slate board.

A wave of the wand - and you, having unfolded the slate board, show that exactly the number that was on the paper is written on it.

Focus secret:

In advance, you need to prepare a bag with two pockets and several sheets of paper with a written number, for example, the number 12. Put these sheets in the secret pocket of the bag.

The next operation is the manufacture of the board. The slate board must be in a light wooden frame. Take a piece of glossy cardboard and paint one side with black paint to make it look like a board, and glue a piece of newspaper to the other side. The cardboard should easily and accurately fit into the wooden frame of the slate board. Before demonstrating the trick, write the number 12 on the blackboard with chalk and place the cardboard on top with the black side facing out.

At the beginning of the trick, you distribute to the audience exactly the same sheets of paper as those already placed in the bag. When collecting sheets from the audience, you put them in the empty compartment of the bag so that the audience does not notice the secret compartment. When you ask the spectator to remove one sheet from the bag, you turn the bag so that the spectator takes the sheet out of the secret compartment.

Demonstrating the trick, you lay out a newspaper on the table and put a slate board on it with cardboard down, then bend the corners of the newspaper up - you get a small bundle, and leave it on the table.

When the time comes to show the number written on the board, you unfold the newspaper and, taking the board by the corners of the frame, lift it up: the cardboard will remain on the newspaper, but no one will notice it, since the pasted newspaper masks the cardboard.

Taking a step and closing the table with your back, you show the audience the number written on the board.
