EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES Flowers that change color. Focus secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: The magician takes a sheet of drawing paper from the table, shows it to the audience, convincing them that the sheet does not contain any secrets, and puts it in its place. The performer then shows the audience a red flower and also puts it back on the illusion table where it has stood until now. Then the magician again takes a sheet of paper already familiar to the viewer, rolls a tube out of it and places a red flower in it. As soon as the head of the flower has disappeared into the tube, the artist begins to pull the stem out of it. And when the flower is finally taken out, the audience will see that it has turned from red to blue. Now the conjurer puts a blue flower into the tube and takes out a yellow one. The yellow flower with lightning speed turns into lilac in the tube. The surprise of the audience reaches its limit when the artist instead of a lilac flower takes out a black one from the pipe and puts it on the illusion table, holding the pipe still in front of the audience. Then he opens it, and the audience sees a completely blank sheet of paper. Focus secret: The requisite of this focus is primarily a duralumin or aluminum tube 30 cm long and 1,5-2 cm in diameter (Fig. 1).
Inside the tube, partitions perpendicular to each other are inserted, dividing the tube into four parts - cells. The cells are designed to "charge" secret colors into the tube. This tube must be impeccably designed, carefully disguised in black. Flowers for this number are best made from feathers. To make flowers, you will need four metal needles and chicken feathers. There should be enough feathers to make each flower fluffy and beautiful. The stem of the flower is pasted over with green small feathers. Since five different flowers are required for the trick, therefore, the feathers must also be colored red, blue, yellow, lilac and black, respectively. The metal tube itself is disguised as a stalk of a black I flower, so it must be pasted over with black feathers. All four flowers should be 1 cm shorter than the tubule. The performer puts the red flower on the table in advance in a vertical position, and since the flowers are made on a metal needle, this makes it possible to simply stick the flower with a point in a standing position, and it will stand. The remaining three flowers are “charged” into a tube - a black flower stalk ( Fig.2).
Before focus is demonstrated, one cell in the tube remains free. "Charged" tube - the flower is placed on hooks built into the edge of the illusion table (Fig. 3)
Now the performer needs to take a sheet of Whatman paper measuring 35 x 35 cm and put it on the table so that it covers the black flower (Fig. 4).
First, the artist shows the audience just a blank sheet of paper and a flower standing on an illusion table. And then he moves on to the main focus demonstration. The performer takes a sheet of paper, picking up a black tube flower with it, and twists the paper with a tube (Fig. 5). After that, taking a red flower from the table, the artist pushes it into a free cell of the tube (from top to bottom) and pulls a blue flower from the next cell by the needle.
When the last flower is shown to the audience and put back into the tube, the performer can take out a black flower from the paper tube, in which the rest of the flowers are hidden. The artist puts a black flower on an illusion table, and unfolds the paper and shows it to the audience. Author: Akopyan A.A.
