Focus Description:

The magician shows three cups and three balls, and then makes the balls mysteriously pass from one cup to another. At the end of the trick, the glass passes through the table. You will need three cups, a piece of newspaper, and four balls or pucks, which you will need to cut out of the foam sheet. Cups must be made of opaque plastic.

Focus secret:

The secret of the trick lies in the fact that four balls, or pucks, are used all the time, although the audience sees only three during the trick.

Effect 1. Place the cups one inside the other on the table with the holes up. Three balls lie at the bottom of the first cup, and the fourth ball lies at the bottom of the lower one. Take the cups with the fingers of your left hand so as to hold them together. Shake out three marbles on the table, saying "Three marbles". Then, holding your right hand palm up (thumb pointing to the left), take one lower cup and place it on the table with the hole down so that the ball does not fall out. Take the other two cups, put them on the table to the right of the first cup in one line. Now take one of the three marbles and put it on the bottom of the cup (outside) that is on the left (this is the cup where the fourth marble is hidden). Then put the middle cup on top of the first one and knock them over - there is a ball on the table.

Effect 2. Turn the bottom of these cups upside down on the table as described above. It is important not to show the ball to the audience. Take a ball from the table and put it on the bottom of this cup, then put the cup on it, which you hold in your left hand. Immediately knock over both cups, as you did in the first trick - the ball is again on the table. You now have two cups in your left hand.

Effect 3. Remove the bottom cup with your right hand and tip it over the ball that is already on the table. Now there are two balls under this glass. Take it from the table and put another glass on it. Put another ball on the bottom of these two cups. Now take the cup you are holding in your left hand with your right hand and place it over the two cups on the table. Immediately knock over all three cups with holes up as in the first tricks. There are two balls on the table. You now have three cups in your hand with one balloon in the bottom one.

Effect 4. Remove the bottom cup with your right hand as explained above and tip it over the two marbles on the table. Place a third balloon on the bottom of this cup and cover it with two other cups. Now tip all three cups with the fingers of your left hand. There are three balls on the table.

Effect 5. This is the climax of the cups and balloons trick. Cover all three balloons with a glass and cover it with paper. While pressing, smooth the paper until it takes the shape of a cup. Then ask the audience: "How many balloons are under the cup?" This question plays a big role, as the audience will think that you are going to continue the trick with the balloons.

This will take their attention away from the glass. After the audience says that there are three balls under the cup, raise the paper and the cup with your right hand, saying at the same time - "Yes, yes, you are right." At this time, with your right hand, move the cup to the edge of the table so that you can quietly pick it up with your left hand. Immediately place the cup-shaped paper over the balloons with your right hand - the audience will think that the cup is under the paper. Now you just need to say: "Look carefully" - and press with your right hand on the paper from above, and with your left hand "get" the cup from under the table. The success of this trick is in surprise.
