Focus Description:

There are two bottles on the table in front of the magician: one is white, with a "milk" sticker, the second is dark, with a "lemonade" sticker, and two cases. The magician invites the viewer to the stage and invites him to choose one of the bottles, and then asks him to repeat the movements. The magician puts his bottle on the palm of his left hand, puts a case on it, covers the case with the palm of his right hand and turns the case with the bottle over several times. All movements are repeated by the viewer. Then both raise the cases - the magician's bottle is at the bottom, and the spectator's bottle is at the neck. This is repeated several times - the result is the same.

Next, the magician sets the milk bottle aside and puts the lemonade bottle into the spectator's case. He turns the case over several times, asks the viewer to blow, lifts the case, and under it is a milk bottle. Finally, she disappears without a trace.

The trick should be shown on a small, unclothed table, in order to dismiss any suspicion of the existence of secret compartments.

Focus secret:

The demonstration will require the following props. Two cases (in the form of cylinders) are twenty millimeters longer than the bottles. Outside, the cases are brightly painted, inside they are covered with black velor or velor paper. Two bottles - one white (for milk), the other dark (for lemonade) - the same height and diameter. The insert for the case corresponds in length to the length of the case. Its diameter should be such that the bottle fits exactly into it, and it freely, but without a gap, enters the case. Inside the liner is also pasted over with velor. Outside, one half of the liner is white, with a "milk" sticker, and the other half is black, with a "lemonade" sticker. If you slightly lift the case, only the lower half of the liner will be visible, which mimics a milk or lemonade bottle.

To avoid mistakes, it is necessary to paste a white ring - a mark at the upper inner edge of the white half. You will also need two bright silk scarves.

Pick up both cases. Press the insert firmly from the inside with your index finger to the case put on it. Show both bottles and ask one of the spectators to help you. Offer him to choose a bottle, say, for lemonade. You put the remaining milk bottle on the palm of your left hand and offer the viewer to repeat your movements. Put on your bottle a case with an insert (white ring up).

First reception. Close the top opening of the case with your right hand and invite the viewer to repeat all your movements. Turn the bottle to the right and count "one", and then back to the left and count "two", then again to the right and count "three". Cases with bottles are on the right palms. Blow on your case and lift it halfway up. At the same time, you leave the insert on the bottle, which creates the impression that the bottle is upside down in your palm. Do not let the audience stare at the bottle for a long time. Cover the bottle and draw the attention of the audience to your assistant - he has a bottle on his neck. You are surprised at what the assistant has done and ask him to put the bottle upside down in his palm.

Second reception. Together with the viewer, raise the cases again so that everyone can see the bottles in the correct position. This is followed by a triple counting movement, after which the cases are lifted (you lift the case along with the insert). Your bottle is right, and the viewer is back on the neck.

Third take. Offer the assistant a milk bottle. You exchange the bottles, put them in the palm of your hand and cover them again with cases. Attention! You must turn the case over this time. This is easy to do, as when you exchange bottles, you put it on the table for a moment. d then everything happens as in the first reception.

Fourth take. It is the same as the second one. You lift the case, you have a milk bottle instead of a lemonade bottle. When you now place the case on the table, make sure that the black side of the insert is facing down. You should see a large white rim at the top. Drop the lemonade bottle into the top of the case. Now you are all set for a spectacular ending.

Fifth reception. Take the bottle from the helper and place it on the table so that the audience cannot see it. This bottle has already played its role. Then take his case and put it next to yours. Say you want to show the assistant how to do the trick. To do this, you want to use a lemonade bottle and a helper case. believe that a bottle fell into the lower case. You continue to hold the bottle firmly with your index finger and set it aside along with the case. Place the bottom case in the palm of your hand. Quickly lift the case to make sure the audience is still there. Lower the case, then turn it over. Ask an assistant to blow. Raise the case - the white part of the insert is visible. There is an impression that the bottles have changed places.

Sixth reception. Show the bottom of the bottle again, then turn it over and start counting - one, two, three. The assistant blows again. Raise the case high while holding the insert. The bottle is gone! Let the audience take a glimpse into the opening of the case and pass the handkerchiefs through it. Raise your case. Inside there is an insert and a bottle. Your right hand grasps the top opening of the case, and your index finger, inserted into the neck of the bottle, presses the bottle firmly against the liner. Place your left hand under the bottom opening of the case to prevent the bottle from falling out. Let the liner slide down a few centimeters, as if a bottle had popped out. Insert the visible part of the liner into the second case, press both cases towards you and release the liner, which will fall into the lower case with a noise.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Prototype of quantum memory 17.05.2013

A team of scientists from the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei, led by Dong-Sheng Ding, has for the first time been able to store a photon in a certain quantum state for a short period of time, which is the first step towards creating a quantum memory, according to Technology review.

Scientists have learned how to write data into a single photon using orbital angular momentum - a measure of photon helicity. In this case, one photon can contain more than one bit of information, since the direction and degree of its "twisting" can be different. In reality, the number of possible states of a photon is infinite, and therefore, theoretically, the amount of data encoded in a photon can be infinite.

Scientists have repeatedly attempted to form photons with certain properties and then read these properties. However, no one has yet come up with a way to store photons with certain properties.

Dong-Sheng Ding claims that his team came up with this method. Having created a photon with certain properties, the researchers placed it in a cloud of rubidium atoms and then, after 400 ns, extracted it. After extraction, the photon almost completely retained its configuration.

According to the scientist, their experiment is unique in the sense that for the first time they managed to create a single photon. To do this, they used a process called "spontaneous four-wave mixing." Through this process, the scientists were able to establish for certain that a single photon, not a group, was involved in the experiment.

"We are claiming the world's first experiment to store a single photon with orbital angular momentum in a cold atomic group," Dean said. Scientists believe that their achievement could form the basis of switches for quantum computing networks.

So far, scientists have not been able to build such a switch. However, without switches in a quantum network, a signal can only travel along one route. In order to solve this problem at the current stage of technology development, scientists from the United States proposed to place an ordinary switch in the center of the quantum network with the conversion of a light signal into an electrical one at the input and vice versa at the output.
