Focus Description:

The magician pulls two sheets of tissue paper from the stack. One of them you crumples into a rather large lump and hides it in the fold between the thumb and forefinger of the right hand. During the demonstration, the audience must constantly see this "hidden" piece of paper. Tearing the second sheet of paper into small pieces, the magician slightly opens his thumb and forefinger, and the lump falls to the floor. The audience will laugh, but the artist, as if nothing had happened, continues to show the trick and maintains a conversation with the audience.

Having rolled the scraps of paper into a ball, he says: “Well, now I take out the hidden piece of paper ...” - and with “amazement” discovers that this piece of paper has disappeared. He looks around in confusion for a while, and then, as if remembering something important, he says: "Well, you still have to use your magical power." He stares at the ball, utters a magic spell and again pulls out a whole piece of paper!

Focus secret:

Between your index and middle fingers you have another small paper ball rolled up from a whole sheet. It is only necessary to ensure that the "loss" of a large wad of paper looks natural.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>
