The word comes from the ancient Greek "pneumatikos" - "inflated with air", referring to air. You and I have already learned a lot about air. But his adventures are very diverse! In some, he acts as a hero, in others - a mischievous and pest. And they all say different things about him.
Pilots say: air is what gives support to our wings. Airplanes could not fly without air. Astronomers say: the air is what prevents us from observing the stars. It is cloudy, it trembles, the stars twinkle and blur because of this. Doctors say: air is what we breathe. You can't live without air!
The astronauts say that the air makes it very difficult to land a rocket. She is very hot from friction with the air. If you maneuver incorrectly during landing, you will burn out along with the rocket! Poets say: air is a free and wayward wind. It brings the fragrance of wonderful flowers or blows persistently in our face. And yet he is beautiful!
Pisces... Of course they don't talk. But if only they could, they would say: the air is our death! And engineers say: air is a wonderful worker. True, he is free, volatile, you can’t grab him. But this is the air, so to speak, wild, not attached to the case. But if you collect it, lock it in a suitable dish and squeeze it well ...
Do you doubt? Let's make an experience! Place two heavy books on the table in a "T" shape, one on top of the other. Try blowing them off. What don't fall? And they will not fall, even if they break.
But try to catch the same breath and lock it up. Place a paper bag under the books, or even better - made of polyethylene. The package must be intact, without holes. Hold it with the open end to your mouth and inflate. You can not rush, blow slowly, gradually. The air from the bag still has nowhere to go. In the end, the package will swell and knock over the books!

Artificial leather for touch emulation
15.04.2024
In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>
Petgugu Global cat litter
15.04.2024
Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>
The attractiveness of caring men
14.04.2024
The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>
Random news from the Archive Mobile phones with 3-megapixel cameras will appear this year
22.06.2004
Three Korean mobile phone makers - Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Pantech Group - are preparing to introduce handsets with 3-megapixel cameras as early as this year, the Korea Times reported, citing industry sources.
If that happens, then the resolution of phone cameras will triple a year after Samsung and Pantech released megapixel copies. Samsung is first going to catch up with its rival LG and release an intermediate version with a resolution of 2 megapixels, as well as a built-in MP3 player.
LG Electronics has already released the LG-SD330 with such a camera, and is preparing to introduce a 3-megapixel camera phone this summer. Pantech is about the same level as Samsung. Currently, commercially available camera phones have a resolution of 300 pixels, which is incomparable to the quality of even the simplest digital cameras.
The three-millionth milestone of matrices will make a separate digital camera useless, and this will greatly undermine the market for the latter, primarily cameras of the lower and middle class.
