Blow out a large bubble, 20 centimeters in diameter. With a light push, separate it from the tube. The bubble will first rise a little upward and only then, shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow, will it begin to descend. Finally, it will burst, touching the floor.

Why did the bubble rise in the first place? Yes, because it was filled with your hot breath. The warm air in the bubble was lighter than the air in the room. But then it cooled down and the ball went down.

A very beautiful flying bubble experience can be done in a large glass jar. At the bottom of the jar, put a small cup with pieces of chalk. Pour the chalk with a solution of hydrochloric acid (1 part acid to 10 parts water). Once on the chalk, the solution will sizzle, bubbling, bubbling. Wait for the boiling in the cup to end. Then the air in the jar will become calm.

Blow a small bubble, but without a drop at the bottom, and shake it into a jar. First, it will fall almost to the very bottom, and then it will stop and begin to rise. It will rise a little, then down again, and again not to the bottom, and rise again ... The bubble dives like a float in a pond. Finally, it will stop at a small height above the bottom of the can. This is where the bubble will start to change colors. Look, here it is light blue, then green, yellow, then it turns red, crimson ... Finally, the bubble becomes purple, sinks lower and lower and ... the end! The bubble bursts, usually before reaching the bottom.

Soap bubble flies

What's the matter here? Why does a bubble fly in a jar, in the waves of what invisible pond does it dive like a float? The secret is that the action of hydrochloric acid on chalk produces carbon dioxide. It is colorless like air, but heavier in weight and therefore settles to the bottom of the jar. And the bubble is filled with air, it is lighter! That's why he emerges in an invisible pond. But gradually carbon dioxide passes into the bubble through its thin shell. And then the bubble sinks.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Multifunctional platform Intrinsyc Open-Q 660 16.10.2017

Intrinsyc Technologies introduced the Open-Q 660 platform for developers designing smartphones and phablets based on Qualcomm processors.

The announced solution is made in Mini-ITX format: dimensions are 170 x 170 mm. The board is based on the Snapdragon 660 processor, which contains eight Kryo 260 computing cores - quartets with clock speeds up to 1,8 and 2,2 GHz. The built-in Adreno 512 controller is responsible for graphics processing. Declared support for cameras with a resolution of up to 24 million pixels; in addition, a dual camera with a resolution of up to 16 million pixels can be used.

The Open-Q 660 platform includes 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and a 5.1 GB eMMC 64 flash module. Additionally, you can install a microSD card.

The solution provides support for Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2,4 / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.x + BLE, GPS/GLONASS satellite navigation, USB Type-C, USB 2.0, Micor interfaces - USB, I2S, SPI, GPIO, etc.

Optionally, the board can be equipped with a 5,7-inch diagonal AMOLED touch display. The resolution of this panel is 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD format). In addition, customers will have access to an optional dual camera module based on 13-megapixel Samsung S5K3M2 sensors and a front camera with an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV8856 sensor.

The platform is compatible with Andriod 7 Nougat operating system. Trial shipments of the Open-Q 660 will begin at the end of October; price - from 999 US dollars.
