The proposed scheme (Fig. 1) is intended for installation on vehicles with a contact ignition system.

It has the following advantages:

  • spark power increased;
  • breaker contacts do not burn;
  • no resistor is needed in the ignition coil circuit;
  • when the ignition is on, but the engine is not running, the circuit turns off smoothly, without a spark.

The power of the spark in this circuit depends on the temperature of VT2, and it decreases on a hot engine, and increases on a cold one, thereby facilitating starting.

When closing and opening the contacts of the breaker SK, the impulse passes through C1, briefly opening VT1 and VT2. When VT2 closes, a spark occurs. C2 smooths out the peak of the voltage pulse. R6 and R5 limit the maximum voltage on the VT2 collector. When the desired voltage is reached, VT2 opens slightly, limiting further voltage growth.

The opening voltage VT2 depends on the value of Ube which, in turn, depends on the temperature. When the contacts of the breaker are open, VT1 and VT2 are closed. With long-closed contacts, the current through C1 gradually decreases, respectively, and VT1 and VT2 close smoothly, protecting the ignition coil from overheating.

Details: C1 - type KM or K73. R6 provides output voltage stabilization. Its value is selected for a specific ignition coil. In the diagram, the value of R6 is indicated for the B115 coil. Its main parameters are: Ri=1.6 Ohm, I<8A, Ui<330 V. Transformation ratio K=68. For coil B116 (Ri=0,6 ohm, Ii<20 A, Ui<160 V, K=154) R6=11 k. For this coil, it is better to use KT2A transistors as VT898.

Electronic ignition

To improve the reliability of the circuit, it is better to use a composite transistor VT2, as shown in Fig. 2.

Solidification of bulk substances 30.04.2024

There are quite a few mysteries in the world of science, and one of them is the strange behavior of bulk materials. They may behave like a solid but suddenly turn into a flowing liquid. This phenomenon has attracted the attention of many researchers, and we may finally be getting closer to solving this mystery. Imagine sand in an hourglass. It usually flows freely, but in some cases its particles begin to get stuck, turning from a liquid to a solid. This transition has important implications for many areas, from drug production to construction. Researchers from the USA have attempted to describe this phenomenon and come closer to understanding it. In the study, the scientists conducted simulations in the laboratory using data from bags of polystyrene beads. They found that the vibrations within these sets had specific frequencies, meaning that only certain types of vibrations could travel through the material. Received ... >>

Implanted brain stimulator 30.04.2024

In recent years, scientific research in the field of neurotechnology has made enormous progress, opening new horizons for the treatment of various psychiatric and neurological disorders. One of the significant achievements was the creation of the smallest implanted brain stimulator, presented by a laboratory at Rice University. Called Digitally Programmable Over-brain Therapeutic (DOT), this innovative device promises to revolutionize treatments by providing more autonomy and accessibility to patients. The implant, developed in collaboration with Motif Neurotech and clinicians, introduces an innovative approach to brain stimulation. It is powered through an external transmitter using magnetoelectric power transfer, eliminating the need for wires and large batteries typical of existing technologies. This makes the procedure less invasive and provides more opportunities to improve patients' quality of life. In addition to its use in treatment, resist ... >>

The perception of time depends on what one is looking at 29.04.2024

Research in the field of the psychology of time continues to surprise us with its results. Recent discoveries by scientists from George Mason University (USA) turned out to be quite remarkable: they discovered that what we look at can greatly influence our sense of time. During the experiment, 52 participants took a series of tests, estimating the duration of viewing various images. The results were surprising: the size and detail of the images had a significant impact on the perception of time. Larger, less cluttered scenes created the illusion of time slowing down, while smaller, busier images gave the feeling of time speeding up. Researchers suggest that visual clutter or detail overload can make it difficult to perceive the world around us, which in turn can lead to faster perception of time. Thus, it was shown that our perception of time is closely related to what we look at. Larger and smaller ... >>

Smart planter PAU 15.10.2022

A smart planter developed by the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in India is included in a centrally sponsored subsidy scheme by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

Wheat planted in a paddy field with the PAU smart planter matures earlier than with the Happy and Super Seed planters. She can work with a tractor with a power of 45 to 50 horsepower and sow wheat on 10-12 acres per day. The machine gives the proper space for the seeds to germinate and grow in good soil conditions.

To commercialize its smart planter, Punjab Agricultural University has signed a memorandum of agreement with at least 10 agricultural equipment manufacturers. The application process for the PAU smart planter subsidy will be announced by the Punjab Ministry of Agriculture.

In the 2021-22 wheat planting season, it has been successfully demonstrated on 580 acres for planting wheat in leftover honeydew in farmers' fields.

Dr. Jaswinder Singh Brar, plant protection officer, said that wheat sown with the smart planter grows healthy and yields well compared to fields sown after burning padi straw.
