The proposed device is designed to protect summer cottages and private estates in villages from the encroachment of lovers of easy money. This is nothing more than a security alarm panel for several cells, the number of which may be different. The device is simple and reliable, has an autonomous power supply (element with a voltage of 1,5 V). The current consumption in standby mode is 0,1 mA. The current consumed by the cell in the off state is 80 μA. In alarm mode, the remote control consumes 10 mA.

Winding wires are used as security lines: PEV-2, PETV, etc. small diameter 0,08 ... 0,15 mm, which pass along the perimeter of protected areas through bushes, fences, etc. The greater the number of lines divided into a section, the easier and faster it is to determine where the troublemaker is located.

The scheme of the device is shown in fig. 1. In the initial state, when the remote control is turned on and the security loop connected to terminals 1 and 2 of cell A1 is not broken, i.e. its resistance is close to zero, the base of transistor VT1 is connected through diode VD1 to the positive terminal of the battery and transistors VT1 , VT2 and VT3 are closed.

If the integrity of the line is violated, transistors VT1, VT2 open. The voltage from the collector VT1 through the diode VD2 is applied to the base of the transistor VT3 and opens it. Transistor VT3 provides a start signal to the DA1 chip. When the sound generator is working, an increased voltage appears on the cathode of the VD3 diode, and since the transistor VT2 is already open, this leads to the HL1 LED turning on, which indicates the number of the triggered cell.

In the case when the cell does not need to be armed, it is enough to turn off the SA1 toggle switch. Now, no matter what state the line is in (broken or shorted), the LED will not light up and the audible alarm will not turn on.

For test simulation of a line break, the SB1 button is provided. The simulator simultaneously checks the operability of all cells included in the standby mode. When the contacts of the SB1 button are opened, the closing voltage is turned off on the basis of the transistor VT1 and similar transistors of the remaining cells. Thus, a break in the security loop line is simulated. After pressing the SB1 button, a beep will sound and the LEDs of the cells that are in standby mode will light up. When the button is released, the system will return to its original state. Turn off the remote control with a common switch SA2.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Smart fabric keeps you warm and cool 16.02.2019

The concept of smart clothes that can automatically cool or heat their wearer is still in development and is constantly being tested by many developers in many formats. However, material and chemical engineering specialists at the University of Maryland in the US have their own answer to the question of how such smart clothes should be created. Today, the research team has presented a material with unique properties and structure, capable of automatically detecting body temperature and other related features, and then effectively cool or, conversely, heat its wearer according to the situation.

Despite the fact that scientists are still in no hurry to reveal all the most interesting details regarding their new development, it can be understood that the material has really interesting properties - firstly, it is made up of a double fabric system, and secondly, it has the ability to very quickly read the level of thermal radiation emanating from the skin of a person at the moment when his body emits heat or vice versa, seeks to delay it.

As for the double fabric system, it is a test sample in which one part of the fabric has water-repellent properties, and the second, on the contrary, absorbs it - this allows the fabric to be used both for heating and for cooling. Most likely, the finished working concept will be similar to what was previously presented by scientists from the University of California, who developed a jacket that is warm on one side and cool on the other. In addition, it is known that the new material also uses a special artificial intelligence system, thus determining the exact level of heat or cold.

It is worth noting the fact that work on this type of fundamental technology has been carried out by specialists from the University of Maryland over the past five years, and they have very carefully observed what their fellow developers offer. Based on this observation and their own success, they have a very good chance of soon introducing an absolutely complete type of such an automatic and intelligent material for use in the textile industry.
