In the journal "Radio" [1-3], several schemes for connecting a three-phase electric motor to a single-phase network were considered. The option described below is different in that all three operations - turning on, starting and reversing the engine are performed by one switch SA1
The starting circuit is borrowed from [4] The charging current of the capacitor C1, which occurs when the switch SA1 is moved to any position - "Forward" or "Back" from the "Stop" position, causes the relay K1 to operate. which, with its contacts K1.1, connects the starting capacitor Sp. At the end of the charging of the capacitor C1, the relay K1 releases the armature and turns off the starting capacitor. The power consumed by the starter when the engine is running is reduced to a minimum.
Switch section SA1.2 is used to reverse the motor.
The capacitance of the capacitor C1, depending on the time required to accelerate the engine, is usually in the range of 4..12 microfarads, and sometimes more. The capacity of the working Cp and starting Cn capacitors is determined from the table placed in (2).
The design used switch P2T-13. relay PE20UZ for 220 V (all four pairs of contacts are connected in parallel), capacitors MBGG1-2 for a voltage of 400 V. Capacitor C1 can be oxide at 450 V, in which case its case is isolated from the chassis. The device was used to work with a 4 W 50AA2A150 motor.
The disadvantages of the device in comparison with those described in [1] are a greater number of parts and the lack of feedback between the engine and the launch unit.
The lack of feedback between the motor and the starting unit must be taken into account when the motor is running with a variable load. If it does not have a power reserve, then when turned on, it may not have time to enter the operating mode during the charging of capacitor C1. After the relay is activated, the motor may stop and fail if it is not de-energized.
