On fig. 1 shows a diagram of a powerful RA at 144 MHz, designed by the ultrashortwave UA1ZCL known among amateurs of EME communication.

The amplifier is made on a GU35B lamp according to the scheme with a common cathode. Capacitors C1...C9 block the heating and bias circuits of the first and second grids. C9 is constructive and is made in the form of a hoop covering the lamp. The excitation of the first grid is provided by the input coaxial resonator (from the PPC1M radio station), which is tuned by the capacitor C12, and coordinated with the PA input - C13.

To ensure stability, the neutralization of the lamp through-pass capacitance through the constructive capacitor C10, located in the anode compartment, was used.

To reduce the coupling, C10 is separated from the anode by a PE screening partition, which is bent as shown in Fig. 1 and fixed to the case with two screws. A M10...M3 bolt is soldered to the C4 plate, which is brought into the inlet compartment through a PTFE gasket with an internal thread. By adjusting C10, stable operation of the cascade is achieved.

The output coaxial resonator consists of an outer tube with a diameter of 90...95 mm and an inner tube with a diameter of 32 mm and a length of 375...385 mm, which is connected to the anode of the lamp. An anode voltage of +3,5 kV was also supplied through the inner pipe through the corresponding chokes, bushing insulators and decoupling capacitors.

The output resonator is tuned by a constructive capacitor C15, which is a disk with a diameter of 80 ... 90 mm, to which an adjusting bolt is soldered, screwed into a nut soldered to the end of the resonator. To ensure reliable contact between the C15 disk and the end of the resonator, a curly spring made of thin brass or bronze is inserted.

The adjustment of the connection with the output is carried out by a constructive capacitor C14, made similarly to C10, C15.

For safety, the PA output is DC grounded through a choke.

Since the lamp consumes a significant amount of filament power, it is necessary to use a timer to delay the supply of grid and anode voltages. The scheme for generating the bias voltage of the first grid is shown in Fig.2.

Zener diodes VD1 ... VD8 are selected so that in the "RX" position, the bias voltage of the first grid would be regulated by switch S1 within 60 ... 120 V.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 (R7000) 1900 Mbps Router 02.10.2013

Networking specialist Netgear has unveiled its Nighthawk AC802.11 (R1900) dual-band 7000ac wireless router. The device is built on a dual-core processor operating at a frequency of 1 GHz and is equipped with a USB 3.0 port. In addition, it supports Netgear Beamforming+ technology, which, according to the manufacturer, allows for significant connection speed and stability, providing maximum coverage.

Compliant with 802.11a/b/g/n and 802.11ac specifications, the R7000 achieves a total speed of 1900 Mbps (600 + 1300 Mbps). The router configuration includes three external antennas for wireless connection and five Gigabit Ethernet ports (one WAN and four LAN) for fast wired connection.

It should be noted the advanced Quality of Service functions for outgoing traffic, which optimize settings for online games. Nighthawk automatically assigns Xbox traffic a high priority, so the load from other devices will not slow down the gameplay, which is critical for even millisecond delays.

The presence of a USB 3.0 port makes it possible to organize high-speed shared access to an external drive. In particular, this feature can be used to broadcast video to DLNA-enabled TVs throughout the home or for automatic centralized data backup. Your device supports Apple Time Machine backup technology.

With dimensions of 285 x 184,5 x 50 mm, the device weighs 750 g.
