The amplifier has an output power of about 8 watts with an input power of 0,5 watts.

Installation is carried out mainly on the "patch" of fiberglass, glued to the bottom of the case (Fig. 2). Other mounting options have not been tested. I think a PCB mount is fine. The conclusions of the parts connected to a common wire are soldered directly to the foil. Reed relays K1, K2 are soldered to the foil with the leads up. The VT3 transistor is installed with the body down, while an aluminum radiator is screwed on top of the threaded part (after mounting the radio components).

The simplex radio communication mode facilitates the thermal regime of the transistor, so the requirements for the size of the cooling surface of the radiator are somewhat reduced. The shortened leads of the base and collector are soldered to the "patch", and the conclusions of the emitter after a slight bend to the foil.

Chokes Dr1, Dr2 and coil L2 are installed vertically. Relay Kl, K2 - RES-55A RS4569607, capacitor C1 - KD-1, other capacitors KM-4, KM-5. Dr1, Dr2 DM-0,1 20..50 μH. Power connector for portable radios. Coil L1 is made of silver-plated wire, PEV-2 wire is used for L3, L4, L2. The winding data of the coils are shown in the table.

Before adjustment, an active load of 50 ohms with a power of at least 8 watts is connected to the output of the amplifier. The output connector of the radio station is connected to the input of the amplifier through a piece of 50-ohm cable about one meter long, which will later be used during operation. A reduced supply voltage is applied to the circuit, at which the relays still reliably operate. During operation of the transmitter, by stretching and compressing the turns of the coils L1, L3, L4, they achieve the maximum signal level at the load. If necessary, adjust the capacitances of the corresponding loop capacitors. In some cases, you can try to more accurately select the connection points for the L1 coil taps. Self-excitation is possible if the circuits are incorrectly configured and the load mismatch is significant.

It is of interest to use this amplifier in a camping version, for example, from a fishing or hunting place, when the antenna (for example, a wire GP with counterweights) is fixed on a tree or other high object, and the amplifier is powered by a car battery or other autonomous source that provides a current of at least 1 A .

The author uses this amplifier in conjunction with a quarter-wave GP installed on the roof of a 5-story building. The range of local communications reached 50 km, while the maximum range was not tested. During the hours of ionospheric passage, contacts were made with stations in the North Caucasus, Ukraine, and the Urals with a range of more than 1500 km.

When installing a transmitting antenna near television antennas, it is imperative to turn on the low-pass filter at the output of the amplifier.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

The physical standard of the kilogram will be replaced by the quantum formula 14.11.2018

The world is no longer using the kilogram standard, which has been kept at the International Bureau of Weights and Measures in Sevres, France since 1889. This is a small cylinder made of an alloy of platinum and iridium. The reason is that its mass can change.

"This is not very good, given the accuracy in measurements we need at the moment," said Thomas Grenon, head of France's National Laboratory for Metrology and Testing.

The kilogram remained the last measure that depended on the physical object. On November 16 in Versailles at the 26th General Conference of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures, everything will change. For a kilogram, the formula will be adopted. This will be a universal formula for determining the kilogram based on the laws of quantum physics.

Now a kilogram will be determined not by the weight of the standard, but by the amount of electrical energy needed to move an object weighing a kilogram. And the energy, in turn, is calculated on the basis of Planck's constant.

The General Conference of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures at the Paris Palace of Versailles will also discuss the definition of other major international units of measurement - the ampere (A) unit of electric current, the kelvin (K) unit of thermodynamic temperature, and the mole - a unit of measurement of the amount of substance.

The concept of gram and kilogram was introduced into science in 1795. Water was taken as the basis: it was believed that one kilogram is equal to the weight of a liter of water. For the mass standard, a platinum cylinder was first made, and then a platinum-iridium cylinder.

The standard was kept under reliable protection. Under two glass caps, from which the air was pumped out. Moreover, only three people in the whole world had access to the room where the standard stood. Everyone had their own key. But it was possible to open the door and enter the room with the standard only by turning three keys at the same time. But that didn't help either. By the end of the XNUMXth century, scientists discovered that the standard was gradually losing mass.
