These are pastes or varnishes designed to create or restore conductive paths in various radio-electronic devices, alarm systems, car glass heaters, etc. What does the market offer for this?

Conductive paste (liquid metal)

Consists of two capsules of 2,5 ml: 1st - metal powder, 2nd - liquid. The set costs 12 UAH.

It is intended for sealing breaks in the paths of car glass heaters, restoring the contact of a torn wire from conductive paths.

Instructions for use:

  1. the surface to which the paste will be applied must be dry and free of grease;
  2. pour a small amount of powder from capsule 1 onto a clean, dry cardboard, add a drop of liquid from capsule 2, bringing the solution to the density of toothpaste;
  3. apply the resulting paste to a dry and fat-free place where the conductive path of the car glass is broken or to the place where the conductor is torn off from this track. The thickness of the paste layer should be 2 .... 3 mm, if necessary, insert a torn conductor into the paste;
  4. it is necessary to act quickly, as the paste begins to set after 2 minutes. Full setting time 2 hours.

Resistance track varies within 0,1 ... 0,3 Ohm per 1 mm of its length and depends on the ratio of powder and liquid.

"Contactol SU" (conductive varnish) EP 595 (TU 6 10 1668-78)

Sold in a 4 ml ampoule. It costs 3,5 UAH.

It is intended for antistatic coating of cases of radio electronic equipment (REA), restoration of solid areas on REA boards (in remote controls, mobile phones, etc.), restoration of the resistive layer in variable resistance resistors.

Which one resistance has a track from "Contactol SU":

Break length, mm 1,5 10 20
Resistance, Ohm 21 111 400

Instructions for use:

  1. mix the varnish thoroughly for 5 minutes until smooth;
  2. apply varnish on a clean, fat-free, dry surface with a uniform thin layer (you can use a disposable syringe);
  3. dry for 2...3 hours at room temperature;
  4. to obtain a minimum transient resistance, it is recommended to apply a second layer on the first layer, which is dried for 2 ... 10 hours;
  5. The viscosity of "Contactol SU" can be adjusted with solvent No. 647.

The expiration date and shelf life of "Kontaktol SU" are limited only by the time the solvent evaporates from the vial.

Producer - SPF "KHARTRON-M" Kharkov

"Contactol SN" (conductive varnish) AK 562 (TU 10 1652-78).

Sold in a 4 ml ampoule. It costs 3,5 UAH.

Designed to repair breaks on conductive loops of personal computer keyboards, printed circuit boards and alarm systems, restore the resistive layer in variable resistors.

Which one resistance has a track from "Kontaktol SN":

Track length, mm 1,5 10 20
Resistance, Ohm 6 60 250

Instructions for use:

  1. mix the varnish thoroughly for 5 minutes until smooth;
  2. apply varnish on a clean, fat-free, dry surface in an even layer (you can use a disposable syringe);
  3. dry for 2...3 hours at room temperature;
  4. to obtain a minimum transient resistance, it is recommended to apply a second layer on the first layer, which dries for 2 ... 10 hours;
  5. the viscosity of "Contactol SN" can be adjusted with solvent No. 647.

The expiration date and shelf life of "Kontaktol SN" are limited only by the time of evaporation of the solvent from the vial.

Producer - NPF "KHARTRON" Kharkov.

Elast (conductive varnish) R-3010 TU003488. 14-93

Sold in a 10 ml bottle. It costs 4 UAH.

Designed to restore the conductive layer on the buttons of remote control audio and video equipment, repair cracks on flexible current-carrying cables.

Instructions for use

  1. before use, mix the varnish thoroughly by shaking the bottle for 20 s;
  2. apply varnish in a uniform thin layer on a conductive surface;
  3. dry at room temperature for 2 hours;
  4. varnish easily evaporates when the cork is not tightly closed;
  5. do not apply to silicone rubber;
  6. for further storage, wrap the cork in foil and, tightly closing the bottle, press it with adhesive tape.

As practice has shown, the use of "Elast" to restore the conductive layer in the buttons of the remote control is not durable. For these purposes, it is advisable to use foil from cigarette boxes.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

How to catch a graffiti artist 03.02.2004

Traptec, an American acoustic tracking and security firm, has developed a system for identifying and locating graffiti "artists".

The aerosol can, releasing a jet of paint, emits a hiss in the ultrasonic range. Sensors of the Taggertrap system, placed on lampposts and connected to a network, pick up this sound even against the background of intense city noise and allow you to track the location of the graffiti artist.

There is also a portable version in a case, connected to other similar devices via a mobile telephony network. A police squad arrives at the location. By the way, the annual costs of washing dirty walls, fences, shop windows, subway cars, etc. are estimated in the US at 8-10 billion dollars.
