 Comments on the article

These transformers are used to power semiconductor equipment from an AC network with a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 127 and 220 V. The main parameters of transformers of the TPP series are given in Table 1 and Table 2, of the TPP2 series - in Table 3.

Tables 1, 2 and 3 give the nominal voltages and currents of the secondary windings. In the first two tables, the transformers are grouped into groups of the same power. The group header gives the type of core on which the group's transformers are assembled, the power (N) and current (I, in amperes) of the primary winding: in the numerator - when powered by a 127 V network, in the denominator - 220 V. In some cases, transformers of the same power placed in different groups, because they are made using different cores. All transformers of the TPP2 type (Table 3) are made using a PLM 27x40-58 core, the primary winding current when powered from a 127 V network is 2,03 A, when powered from a 220 V network - 1,15 A.

Table 3 shows the parameters of only the first half of the secondary windings of TPP2 transformers. The second half has similar parameters. For example, the current and voltage of the winding 23-24 are similar to the corresponding parameters of the winding 11-12 of the TPP2-1 transformer, 25-26 - 13-14, etc., and for the TPP2-5 transformer, the winding 15-16 is similar to the winding 11-12, and 17-18 - 13-14.

The electrical circuits of transformers TPPi TPP2 are shown in fig. 1...9. Variant fig. 1 - diagram of transformers TPP48, TPP67 and TPP88, allowing connection to a network with a voltage of both 127 V and 220 V. In the first case, it is necessary to connect terminals 1 and 6, 4 and 9, while the primary windings 1-4 and 6-9 connected in parallel, apply a voltage of 127 V to pins 1 and 4. In the second case, connect pins 2 and 6, and apply 220 V to pins 1 and 8.

Variant fig. 2 - diagram of armored transformers TPP201 .. TPP289 (made on the cores of ShL and ShLM), allowing connection to a network with a voltage of both 127 V and 220 V. In the first case, it is necessary to connect terminals 1 and 6, 4 and 9, while primary windings 1-4 and 6-9 are connected in parallel, apply a voltage of 127 V to terminals 1 and 4. In the second case, connect terminals 3 and 7, and apply 220 V to terminals 2 and 9.

Variant fig. 3 is a diagram of armored transformers designed to be connected to a network with a voltage of only 220 V. This voltage is supplied to terminals 2 and 9.

On fig. 4 shows a diagram of transformers of the TPP290 ... TPP323 rod structure (made on PL cores), which can be connected to a network with a voltage of both 127 V and 220 V. In the first case, it is necessary to connect terminals 1 and 9, 4 and 6, while magnetic the flows of the primary windings of both rods are summed up, apply a voltage of 127 V to terminals 1 and 4. In the second case, connect terminals 3 and 9, and apply a voltage of 220 V to terminals 2 and 7.

Variant fig. 5 is a diagram of rod-type transformers designed for connection to a network with a voltage of only 220 V. In this case, it is necessary to connect terminals 3 and 9, and apply 220 V voltage to terminals 2 and 7.

TPP2 transformers have a rod design. The scheme of TPP2-1 is shown in fig. 6, TPP2-2 - in fig. 7, TPP2-3 and TPP2-4 - in fig. 8, CCI2-5 - in fig. 9. The primary windings of these transformers are the same. When TPP2 transformers are connected to a network with a voltage of 127 V, it is necessary to connect terminals 1 and 10, 5 and 6, while the magnetic fluxes of the primary windings of both rods are summed up, apply a voltage of 127 V to terminals 1 and 5. When these transformers are connected to a network with a voltage of 220 In it is necessary to connect pins 4 and 9, and apply 220 V voltage to pins 2 and 7.

The voltages at the taps of the primary windings of transformers TPP201 ... TPP323 for 127/220 V are:

  • between terminals 1 and 2,6 and 7 - 7V;
  • between pins 2 and 3, 7 and 8 - 100V;
  • between terminals 3 and 4,8 and 9 - 20 V;
  • between terminals 4 and 5, 9 and 10 - 11 V.

Traffic noise delays the growth of chicks 06.05.2024

The sounds that surround us in modern cities are becoming increasingly piercing. However, few people think about how this noise affects the animal world, especially such delicate creatures as chicks that have not yet hatched from their eggs. Recent research is shedding light on this issue, indicating serious consequences for their development and survival. Scientists have found that exposure of zebra diamondback chicks to traffic noise can cause serious disruption to their development. Experiments have shown that noise pollution can significantly delay their hatching, and those chicks that do emerge face a number of health-promoting problems. The researchers also found that the negative effects of noise pollution extend into the adult birds. Reduced chances of reproduction and decreased fertility indicate the long-term effects that traffic noise has on wildlife. The study results highlight the need ... >>

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Food from insects will create waste-free agriculture 20.03.2022

Insects are an excellent source of protein, requiring significantly fewer resources to produce compared to conventional agriculture. If a mealworm farm is given 2 kg of food, you can get a kilogram of edible protein. In the production of beef, the efficiency is incomparably lower, and greenhouse gases are also emitted.

The production of insects for food and feed usually results in two by-products: insect exuvia and a kind of "meal". Exuviae are exoskeletons left over from insect moulting, and insect meal is mostly excrement and uneaten food. These two by-products could be potential alternatives to conventional fertilizers and pesticides.

Scientists from Wageningen University in the Netherlands analyzed the possibility of producing food for humans and animals from insect by-products. In addition, these by-products can provide farmers with an organic soil supplement.

An important component of insect exuvia is chitin, a high molecular weight aminosaccharide polysaccharide, which is also present in the cell walls of fungi and the exoskeleton of many crustaceans. Chitin-containing soil additives have been shown to promote plant growth.

Adding insect meal to the soil can promote plant growth - insect feces are rich in nitrogen, a nutrient that is critical for plant growth but is often deficient in soil. Nitrogen is often added to the soil as a synthetic fertilizer.

The use of by-products of insect breeding in agriculture can be a step towards a kind of cycle in food production, when the waste is completely utilized in the process itself. First, the insects are fed with crop or food waste, then the insects provide food for humans and meat products, and finally the insect waste is used to stimulate crop growth.
