If active type filters are used instead of LC filters in an FSK demodulator, then it is possible to improve the performance of the demodulator and reduce its size. Active filters eliminate the need for bulky and expensive inductors. This circuit was designed to demodulate 110 baud FSK signals. It is designed to work in normal mode, when a character corresponds to a frequency of 2225 Hz, and a pause - to a frequency of 2025 Hz.

When a symbol is received, filter B, set to 2225 Hz, passes the signal, while filter A rejects it. The outputs of these two filters are converted to DC voltages and compared by an op amp that operates in open loop mode. Since the output of filter B is applied to the non-inverting input of the op amp, the output transistor of the circuit is kept in saturation and the feedback loop is closed as a result. When the input frequency is changed to the blank frequency, the signal starts to pass through filter A and is rejected by filter B, leaving the feedback loop open.

To adjust the circuit, a signal with a symbol frequency and a pause frequency is alternately applied to its input, and by adjusting two trimming variable resistors with a resistance of 50 kΩ, the required level of the output peak voltage is set. To set up the circuit, a low-impedance audio frequency oscillator is required, providing a total output voltage size of about 1,2 V.

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Primium Seneca keyboard 05.05.2024

Keyboards are an integral part of our daily computer work. However, one of the main problems that users face is noise, especially in the case of premium models. But with the new Seneca keyboard from Norbauer & Co, that may change. Seneca is not just a keyboard, it is the result of five years of development work to create the ideal device. Every aspect of this keyboard, from acoustic properties to mechanical characteristics, has been carefully considered and balanced. One of the key features of Seneca is its silent stabilizers, which solve the noise problem common to many keyboards. In addition, the keyboard supports various key widths, making it convenient for any user. Although Seneca is not yet available for purchase, it is scheduled for release in late summer. Norbauer & Co's Seneca represents new standards in keyboard design. Her ... >>

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

ASUS TUF Sabertooth Z97 and Gryphon Z97 Motherboards 10.05.2014

ASUS introduced the TUF Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1, Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2, Gryphon Z97 and Gryphon Z97 Armor Edition motherboards for Intel processors in LGA 1150.

All new items are built using the Intel Z97 Express chipset. It is possible to install Core-i7/i5/i3, Pentium and Celeron chips. Supports up to 32GB of DDR3-1866/1600/1333 RAM.

The distinctive characteristics of TUF series motherboards are the original design and high-quality components. During their development, the main priorities are increased stability, full compatibility with other components and long service life.

Depending on the model, the boards implement such proprietary solutions as TUF Fortifier, Thermal Armor with Flow Valve dampers, Thermal Radar 2 and Dust Defender. The TUF Fortifier reinforcement plate prevents the motherboard from bending due to the installation of heavy graphics cards or a CPU cooler: this reduces the likelihood of damage to wiring or electronic components.

The Thermal Armor cooling system, located over the entire surface of the motherboard, includes fans that direct airflow to the most reliable areas of the board in order to accelerate heat dissipation and improve system stability. The Thermal Radar 2 tool allows you to get accurate temperature data in various areas of the board.

Finally, the Dust Defender complex provides for the use of special plugs for I / O ports and protective strips for expansion slots that prevent dust from penetrating into them.
