Commercial television has been widely developed in many large cities. Moreover, transmissions are conducted both in the usual meter range and in the decimeter range. There is a need to use either two different antennas, or one broadband.

Broadband helical antenna

In this regard, I want to offer a description of a simple effective television antenna. The proposed cylindrical helical antenna perfectly accepts 5 programs from me in Makhachkala: 3 - on MB and 2 - on UHF. The dimensions were calculated for the decimeter range (700 MHz). The antenna showed visually better quality than a 4-element square, especially considering that it receives all broadcast programs in both bands. At the same time, interference caused by reflection from surrounding buildings has decreased.

Formulas for calculations:

1. Spiral pitch S=0,24L, L[cm]=30000/f[MHz];

2. Coil size D=0,31/L;

3. Turn length l=root((nD)2+S2);

4. Spiral wire diameter (approx.) 0,01L;

5. Screen diameter 0,8NS, N - number of turns;

6. Input resistance Rin=100 Ohm;

7. Distance to screen h=0,2L;

The gain can be approximately calculated by the formula:
Ku[dB]=10lg(15(1/L)2NS/L).

The antenna was made of aluminum wire with a diameter of 4 mm. The larger the wire diameter, the lower the input impedance. Ku \u12d 4dB at 15 turns and 7dV - at XNUMX turns.
The screen was made of aluminum sheet.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

JMGO Smart Wall O1 Ultra Short Throw Projector 26.04.2021

Chinese projector manufacturer JMGO has officially announced the new JMGO Smart Wall O1 home projector, which does not need to be placed far from the screen to get a large image. The minimum projection distance is only 27 cm.

The projector uses ultra-short throw technology and has a throw ratio (the ratio of projection distance to screen diagonal) of only 0,25:1, while that of conventional projectors is typically 1,2:1.

The projector has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It took 12 months for engineers to achieve a reduction in projection distance while maintaining maximum image quality.

JMGO Smart Wall O1 is also equipped with a color temperature sensor that adjusts the color temperature for different wall colors. In terms of hardware, Smart Wall O1 is equipped with MediaTek MT9669 single-chip system, which can realize intelligent noise reduction, support wide dynamic range imaging and motion compensation.

JMGO is partnering with Dynaudio. The projector is equipped with two 7W speakers. The projector has four configurable sound effect modes: Standard, Movie, Event and Music.

The price of new items is $600.
