Using a comparator based on an op-amp, you can create a relatively simple and reliable device for protecting speakers from a constant component in the output signal of the UMZCH and a loss of supply voltage in one of its arms. It will also provide a delay in connecting the load after power is turned on.

AC protection device

The protection device is powered from a bipolar UMZCH source through the simplest parametric stabilizers VD12R7 and VD11R9. The inputs of the op-amp are connected to the diagonals of the diode bridge VD1-VD6. Circuits R3VD1 and R6VD2 create a bias voltage at the op-amp inputs: -0,6 V on the inverting one and +0,6 on the non-inverting one. which ensures a stable log 1 level at the output of the comparator and the open state of the VT1VT2 switch, which includes relays K1 and K2. In this position of the indicated elements, the speaker heads of the speakers are connected to the output of the UMZCH through the closed contacts K1.1 and K2.1 of the relay.

When a constant component greater than two volts appears at one of the outputs of the UMZCH, the polarity of the voltage between the inputs of the op-amp changes and a log level is set at its output. 0. As a result, the switch is on transistors VT1. VT2 closes, the relays are de-energized and their contacts K1.1 and K2.1 disconnect the speaker heads from the UMZCH outputs.

To delay the connection of the load after turning on the power of the UMZCH, the VD7C5 circuit is used. When the power is turned off, capacitor C5 quickly discharges through the diode VD8, preparing the device for the next turn on.

When the negative supply voltage disappears, a voltage of +1 V is supplied to the inverting input of op-amp DA4 through resistor R4, which leads to the disconnection of the load from the output of the UMZCH.

A similar process accompanies the loss of positive power, but with the only difference that in this case, a negative voltage of -5 V is supplied to the non-inverting input of the op-amp through resistor R4, as a result of which the supply voltage is removed from the windings of relay K1. K2.

The author did not develop a printed circuit board, but used a surface-mounted installation. Each ZD 15V zener diode can be replaced with a KS515A or two D814A connected in series, the 1N4001 diodes with a KD105, and the S2316 transistor with a KT602BM. Op-amp - any, but with a fairly low input current (for example, K140UD7). The relays are used with windings designed for a voltage of 12 V and a current of 25...30 mA. and contacts that can withstand a current of 10 A at a switching voltage of 120 V.

A correctly assembled device, as a rule, does not need configuration. If you need to increase the time delay when turning on the power, you will have to replace capacitor C5 with another one with a larger capacity. For other UMZCH supply voltages, the values of resistors R7 and R9 should be changed.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

31" monitor LG 31MU95 with a resolution of 4096x2160 pixels 20.12.2013

LG has announced that at CES 2014 in early January in Las Vegas, the new UM21 and UB9 series ultra-wide (65:65 aspect ratio) monitors will be showcased. The first series is aimed at home users, while the design and equipment features of the second series (for example, height adjustment and support for the pivot function) make them suitable for office use.

Both series will be represented by models with a diagonal of 25, 29 and 34 inches. They will use IPS-type LCD panels with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels.

Among the new products will be the UM95 series monitors, represented by two models: 34-inch and 29-inch. Their feature is the support of Thunderbolt 2 and DisplayPort 1.2 interfaces. It is also reported that the UM95 line of monitors will cover 99% of the sRGB color space.

The real highlight of the new LG monitors will be the 31MU95 model with a 31-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10.
