Unlike conventional switches. buttons and toggle switches, sensors have higher mechanical strength and reliability. So that they can replace the on/off switches. I propose a simple scheme.

It doesn't matter how you touch the E1 sensor - with your fist or with your finger. Transistor VT1 can be in one of two states: on or off (depending on its previous state). In this case, a fist or finger can be on the sensor for an arbitrarily long time - the transistor will change its state only upon subsequent touch.

Elements Dl.1. D1.2 and the timing circuit VD1, R3, C2 provide the formation of a single short pulse from a burst of 50 Hz pulses. arising when touching the sensor E1. This short pulse, applied to the input "C" of the trigger D2, causes it to switch.

Since even this short pulse can consist of several even shorter pulses, an anti-jamming circuit R2, C4 is introduced to eliminate false trigger D3.

The disadvantage of this sensor circuit is that in the event of strong electromagnetic interference caused by the inclusion of powerful electrical equipment in the 220 V network, false trigger switching may occur. To avoid this, a blocking circuit must be introduced for input "R" of flip-flop D2. or provide for a delay in the supply of a burst of 50 Hz pulses to the input of elements Dl.1 and D1.2.

To increase the sensitivity of the sensor, an amplifier based on an operational amplifier chip can be introduced in front of element D1.1.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

slimming device 05.07.2021

Researchers at New Zealand's Otago University have created a jaw-locking slimming device.

The novelty is called DentalSlim Diet Control. It is installed on the upper and lower back teeth using special fixing bolts, which are connected to each other by two magnets. So, a person cannot chew solid food.

The gadget, which can only be installed by a dentist, allows the wearer to open their mouth only 2mm, limiting the diet to liquid foods. At the same time, the device does not interfere with breathing and speaking. Participants in the trial of the new invention lost an average of 6,36 kg in two weeks and received a real incentive to continue their path to weight loss, "the scientists say.

“The device is not intended for rapid or long-term weight loss; rather, it is aimed at helping people who need surgery and who cannot have surgery until they lose weight. After two to three weeks, they can turn off the magnets and remove the device. They may have a period of less restrictive dieting, and then they will return to treatment again. This will allow for a phased approach to weight loss, backed up by the advice of a nutritionist," the scientists said.
