ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RADIO ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Annex 1 (informative) to chapter 7.3. Categories and groups of explosive mixtures according to PIVRE and PIVE. Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering / Rules for the installation of electrical installations (PUE) Prior to the introduction of standards for explosion-proof electrical equipment, the latter is developed and marked according to the "Rules for the manufacture of explosion-proof and mine electrical equipment" (PIVRE) OAA.684.053-67. In addition, there is in operation electrical equipment designed and marked according to the "Rules for the manufacture of explosion-proof electrical equipment (PIVE), approved in 1960 and 1963. 1. Categories of explosive mixtures according to PIVRE OAA.684.053-67 and PIVE, approved in 1960 and 1963, are given in Table. P1.1. Specified in table. A1.1, the values of the critical gap are unsuitable for controlling the gap width of flameproof enclosures in operation. The control of the explosion protection parameters of explosion-proof electrical equipment must be carried out according to the drawings of the explosion protection means available in the operational documents for a specific explosion-proof electrical equipment, and in their absence, Ch. 3.4 "Electrical installations in hazardous areas" PEEP and PTB during the operation of consumer electrical installations. 2. Groups of explosive mixtures according to PIVRE OAA.684.053-67 are given in Table. P1.2. 3. Groups of explosive mixtures according to PIVE are given in Table. P1.3. 4. When choosing electrical equipment with marking for explosion protection according to PIVRE OAA.684.053-67 and according to PIVE, the explosion protection of electrical equipment for explosive mixtures is determined by Table. P1.4 and P1.5. 5. Explosion-proof electrical equipment made according to PIVRE or PIVE for the 2nd category (number 2 in the explosion protection marking) is allowed to be used in explosive mixtures of category IIB (indicated in Table 7.3.3), with the exception of explosive mixtures with coke oven gas air ( IIBT1), propylene oxide (IIBT2), ethylene oxide (IIBT2), formaldehyde (IIBT2), ethyltrichlorosilane (IIBT2), ethylene (IIBT2), vinyltrichlorosilane (IIBT3) and ethyldichlorosilane (IIPTZ). The possibility of using the specified electrical equipment in explosive mixtures of category IIB, not listed in Table. 7.3.3, must be agreed with the testing organizations. 6. Explosion-proof electrical equipment, which has the designation 4a in the explosion protection marking and is manufactured according to PIVRE, is not explosion-proof for explosive mixtures with air of acetylene, methyldichlorosilane and trichlorosilane. 7. When choosing electrical equipment with an explosion-proof enclosure and manufactured according to PIVE, for explosive mixtures of category IIC, it is necessary to be guided by the installation and operation instructions for specific products, which indicate for which explosive mixtures of category IIC the electrical equipment is explosion-proof. 8. Electrical equipment manufactured according to PIVE and having the designation A in the explosion protection marking is also explosion-proof for explosive mixtures of group T2, the auto-ignition temperature of which is higher than 360 ºС, and electrical equipment, having the designation B in the explosion protection marking, is also explosion-proof for explosive mixtures TZ groups, the auto-ignition temperature of which is higher than 240 ºС. 9. Electrical machines and apparatus with the type of explosion protection "explosion-proof enclosure" in environments with explosive mixtures of category 4 according to the classification of PIVRE and PIVE should be installed so that the explosion-proof flange gaps do not adjoin closely to any surface, but are not at a distance from it. less than 50 mm Table A1.1.
