Cooler Thermaltake ToughAir 510

15.03.2022

Thermaltake has introduced new modifications of the ToughAir 510 tower cooler: the solutions are also suitable for XNUMXth generation Intel Core processors (Alder Lake platform).

The ToughAir 510 Racing Green and ToughAir 510 Turquoise variants debuted. The first is made in green, the second - in turquoise. The design includes an aluminum radiator through which four heat pipes with a diameter of 6 mm pass. They are in direct contact with the processor cover, which provides improved heat dissipation efficiency.

Fans with a diameter of 120 mm are fixed on both sides of the radiator. The speed of their rotation is controlled by the method of pulse-width modulation (PWM) in the range from 500 to 2000 rpm. An air flow of up to 99 cubic meters per hour is created, and the static pressure reaches 2,41 mm of water column. The maximum noise level is 23,6 dBA. The service life is at least 40 thousand hours.

The dimensions of the coolers are 123,6 x 98,8 x 159,5 mm. Declared compatible with AMD Socket AM4/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/FM2/FM1 processors and Intel LGA 1700/1200/1156/1155/1151/1150 chips. The maximum allowable TDP is 180W.

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

New method for creating powerful batteries 08.05.2024

With the development of technology and the expanding use of electronics, the issue of creating efficient and safe energy sources is becoming increasingly urgent. Researchers at the University of Queensland have unveiled a new approach to creating high-power zinc-based batteries that could change the landscape of the energy industry. One of the main problems with traditional water-based rechargeable batteries was their low voltage, which limited their use in modern devices. But thanks to a new method developed by scientists, this drawback has been successfully overcome. As part of their research, scientists turned to a special organic compound - catechol. It turned out to be an important component that can improve battery stability and increase its efficiency. This approach has led to a significant increase in the voltage of zinc-ion batteries, making them more competitive. According to scientists, such batteries have several advantages. They have b ... >>

Alcohol content of warm beer 07.05.2024

Beer, as one of the most common alcoholic drinks, has its own unique taste, which can change depending on the temperature of consumption. A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The study, led by materials scientist Lei Jiang, found that at different temperatures, ethanol and water molecules form different types of clusters, which affects the perception of alcoholic taste. At low temperatures, more pyramid-like clusters form, which reduces the pungency of the "ethanol" taste and makes the drink taste less alcoholic. On the contrary, as the temperature increases, the clusters become more chain-like, resulting in a more pronounced alcoholic taste. This explains why the taste of some alcoholic drinks, such as baijiu, can change depending on temperature. The data obtained opens up new prospects for beverage manufacturers, ... >>

Eyes to eyes 05.01.2017

Scientists from Kyoto University (Japan) Shogo Kajimura (Shogo Kajimura) and Michio Nomura (Michio Nomura) have shown that eye contact overloads the brain during communication, which is why it is so difficult for us to look into the eyes of the interlocutor for a long time. An article about the study was published in the journal Cognition, the results are presented in a press release.

The experiment, in which 26 volunteers took part, consisted of a simple game of association: a person was called a word (noun) and asked to immediately give an answer - a verb. For example, "ball" - "throw". At the same time, the tasks were of varying complexity: it was more difficult to find an answer to some words than to others. At the same time, the subjects interacted with the face on the computer, and it set the tasks.

The researchers compared how long it took the volunteers to respond to the tendency to look away, breaking eye contact. It turned out that difficult words predictably caused more difficulty, but the time was reduced if the person averted their eyes.

The authors of the work conclude that the dual task of maintaining eye contact and coming up with an association is too difficult for the brain. As a result, he tends to "save" on one task, less important.

Each of us can notice this effect on ourselves, for example, remembering ourselves in the exam. The more complex mental operation we perform, the more likely we begin to involuntarily look away and look away, and not at the person.
