5.5.19. When using non-contact equipment for controlling elevators, the conditions specified in 5.5.20 - 5.5.28 must be met.

5.5.20. Complex control systems for a group of elevators should consist of separate groups of control units, while:

1) each elevator must be controlled by a separate group of blocks, allowing the operation of this elevator regardless of the state of other elevators and their blocks;

2) it should be possible to easily disconnect the elevator units without disturbing the operation of other elevators.

5.5.21. The power supply units of the control system with logic elements must have protection against short circuit, overloads and reduction of output voltages with signaling of its operation. Protection should be built so that in case of short circuit, overload or voltage drop in one output circuit, all output circuits of the power supply are turned off.

5.5.22. If the common point of the control system with logic elements is not grounded, the power supply must be provided with ground fault monitoring of each output circuit with an appropriate alarm.

5.5.23. Power supplies must be capable of being remotely turned on and off.

5.5.24. Elevator control stations, assembled from separate blocks, must be equipped with equipment that indicates the passage of the main signals, or with sockets that allow the connection of measuring equipment to monitor these signals.

5.5.25. The design of control stations and complete devices must provide free access to wires, cables and input rows of terminals.

5.5.26. When installing control stations in cabinets, it is not recommended to install any equipment, except for signaling equipment, on cabinet doors.

5.5.27. Chains of buttons, control keys, limit and limit switches must be galvanically separated. Separation can be done using input matching elements or using relays whose contacts are designed to operate in low current circuits.

5.5.28. Circuits with a voltage of 220 V and above must be laid separately from circuits with a voltage below 220 V of non-contact elements and connected to separate, specially allocated rows of clamps or detachable contact connectors.

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Controlling objects using air currents 04.05.2024

The development of robotics continues to open up new prospects for us in the field of automation and control of various objects. Recently, Finnish scientists presented an innovative approach to controlling humanoid robots using air currents. This method promises to revolutionize the way objects are manipulated and open new horizons in the field of robotics. The idea of controlling objects using air currents is not new, but until recently, implementing such concepts remained a challenge. Finnish researchers have developed an innovative method that allows robots to manipulate objects using special air jets as "air fingers". The air flow control algorithm, developed by a team of specialists, is based on a thorough study of the movement of objects in the air flow. The air jet control system, carried out using special motors, allows you to direct objects without resorting to physical ... >>

Purebred dogs get sick no more often than purebred dogs 03.05.2024

Caring for the health of our pets is an important aspect of the life of every dog owner. However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. The Dog Aging Project's chief veterinarian, Dr. Keith Creevy, notes that there are several well-known diseases that are more common in certain breeds of dogs, which supports the notion that purebred dogs are more susceptible to disease. ... >>

X-Pro3 Mirrorless Camera 24.10.2019

The Japanese company Fujifilm has introduced a new flagship model of a series of mirrorless cameras X - X-Pro3. The device is based on a 4 megapixel APS-C back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 26,1 image sensor. The X-Processor 4 processor, already familiar to photographers from the Fujifilm X-T3 and X-T30 cameras, is responsible for processing the captured frames.

Phase-detection autofocus works down to -6 EV. Light sensitivity - ISO 160-12800 with an extension to ISO 80-51200. The novelty has received an improved hybrid viewfinder, in which the optical channel is combined with an OLED display with the ability to switch between them. An interesting design feature is that the built-in liquid crystal display is not visible in normal mode. In order to use its services, you will have to tilt the screen down at an angle of up to 180 °.

And so only a tiny auxiliary display with a diagonal of 1,28 inches is available. The camera can shoot video at resolutions up to DCI 4K 4096 x 2160 pixels. There are Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth modules. The body of the novelty is protected from dust and splashes. Camera dimensions are 141 x 83 x 46 mm, weight - 497 g.

The Fujifilm X-Pro3 will go on sale in November for $1800.
