2.5.287. The intersection angle of 35 kV overhead lines and below with underground main and field gas pipelines, oil pipelines, oil product pipelines, liquefied hydrocarbon gas pipelines and ammonia pipelines * is not standardized.

The intersection angle of VL 110 KV and above with newly constructed underground main pipelines for the transport of flammable liquids and gases, as well as with the existing technical corridors of these pipelines, must be at least 60º.

The intersection angle of overhead lines with underground gas pipelines with an excess gas pressure of 1,2 MPa or less, non-main oil pipelines, oil product pipelines, pipelines of liquefied hydrocarbon gases and ammonia pipelines, as well as with underground pipelines for the transport of non-combustible liquids and gases is not standardized.

* Gas pipelines, oil pipelines, oil product pipelines, hydrocarbon gas reduction pipelines, ammonia pipelines are hereinafter referred to as pipelines for the transport of combustibles, liquids and gases; trunk and field pipelines are hereinafter referred to as trunk pipelines.

2.5.288. Distances at the intersection, approach and parallel following of overhead lines with underground pipelines must be at least those given in Table. 2.5.40*.

In exceptional cases, it is allowed during the design process to reduce distances up to 50% (for example, when passing overhead lines through the territories of power plants, industrial enterprises, along city streets, etc.), given in paragraph 3 of Table. 2.5.40 for gas pipelines with a gas pressure of 1,2 MPa or less.

At the same time, it is necessary to provide for the protection of the foundations of the overhead line supports from their possible undermining if these pipelines are damaged, as well as protection that prevents the removal of dangerous potentials to metal pipelines.

In the regions of Western Siberia and the Far North, when running in parallel overhead lines of 110 kV and higher with technical corridors of underground main pipelines for the transport of flammable liquids and gases, the distance from the axis of the overhead line to the outermost pipeline must be at least 1000 m.

* The mutual arrangement of pipelines, their buildings, structures and outdoor installations and overhead lines that are part of the pipelines is determined by departmental standards.

Table 2.5.40. The smallest distances from overhead lines to underground networks

Intersection, approach or parallel following The smallest distance, m, at voltage VL, kV

- main oil pipelines, oil product pipelines, ammonia pipelines, gas pipelines with gas pressure over 1,2 MPa (main gas pipelines) 10 15 20 25 25 30 ?0 40
- pipelines of liquefied hydrocarbon gases Not less than 1000 m
2) when approaching and parallel following in cramped conditions and when crossing from the ground electrode or the underground part (foundations) of the support to any part of the pipelines specified in clause 1 5 5 10 10 10 15 25 25
3) when crossing, approaching and parallel following from the ground electrode or the underground part (foundations) of the support:

- to the water supply, sewerage (pressure and gravity), drains, drainage of heating networks 2 2 3 3 3 3 3 10

2.5.289. The distances from the extreme non-deflected wires of overhead lines to purge candles installed on gas pipelines with a gas pressure of more than 1,2 MPa (main gas pipelines), and to rooms with explosive zones and external explosive installations of the COP, GDS and PS should be taken both for aboveground and ground pipelines according to 2.5.285 and according to the table. 2.5.39 respectively.

2.5.290. Newly constructed underground main pipelines in areas of convergence and parallel running with overhead lines when laying them at distances less than those given in paragraph 1 of Table. 2.5.40 must have the category:

  • for gas pipelines and overhead lines of 500 kV and above - at least II;
  • for gas pipelines and overhead lines 330 kV and below - at least III;
  • for oil pipelines and overhead lines above 1 kV - at least III.

Newly constructed underground main pipelines at the intersection with overhead lines within the protective zone of overhead lines must comply with building codes and regulations.

Newly constructed underground main pipelines laid in the regions of Western Siberia and the Far North, when crossing with overhead lines at a distance of 1000 m on both sides of the intersection, must be at least category II, and within the security zone of overhead lines of 500 kV and above -1 category.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Dandelion rubber 21.12.2018

In the land of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany), a research laboratory Taraxagum Lab Anklam was opened where rubber is produced from dandelions. The initiator of the construction of the complex, which started working on December 6, was the German tire manufacturer Continental.

Continental plans to start mass production of dandelion rubber. Within the next 10 years, the rubber obtained from the rhizomes of this perennial plant of the Asteraceae family may become an alternative to the raw material that is currently obtained from the milky juice of hevea for the production of tires.

The laboratory aims to develop new types of dandelions with large roots. In the laboratory, the roots are ground and the rubber is washed out without the use of toxic solvents. Recycled materials can be used to produce biogas or processed into bioethanol.

At the moment, agricultural harvesters designed for harvesting carrots are used to collect the roots. In the future, a special technique will be developed. Experts note that in the future, dandelion cultivation may create new income opportunities for local farmers.

The project was supported by the Ministry of Economy of Meckleburg-Vorpommern, which allocated 11600000 euros to the company. In total, 35000000 euros were spent on the opening of the laboratory.

The idea for the lab came to Continental back in 2016, looking for ways to replace rubber from tropical plants with raw materials from dandelions, which can be cultivated in less hot regions. In 2017, a dandelion plantation of about 30 hectares was created.
