VR headset from Korea Fuel-Tech Corporation 03.03.2022

The Korea Fuel-Tech Corporation, a South Korean auto parts company, has developed its own virtual reality headset that in some respects can compete with the products of IT giants.

The V300i prototype uses a special optical system to solve the problem of "failures" in the user's vestibular apparatus - this is often observed when using VR headsets. The model supports a resolution of 2160 x 2160 pixels and is able to provide an experience similar to those that arise when viewing images on a 300-inch display.

The prototype has an HDMI port and a wireless connection - the model can connect to TVs, PCs, monitors, game consoles and mobile devices. Korea Fuel-Tech Corporation, which produces components for electric and hydrogen vehicles, has already announced its intention to focus the company on the development of mobile entertainment systems.

It is expected that this year the volume of deliveries of virtual and augmented reality systems will reach 14,19 million units, 43,9% more than in the past. In 2023, shipments will increase to 18,81 million copies, their growth will be 32,56%.
