I. General Provisions

The lead engineer belongs to the category of specialists.
A person with a higher education with at least three years of experience in this field is appointed to the position of lead engineer.
Appointment to the position and dismissal from it is carried out by order of the General Director of the enterprise on the proposal of the Deputy General Director and the Chief Mechanic.
The lead engineer must know:

directive and administrative documents, legislative acts, resolutions, orders, methodological and regulatory materials on the issues of the work performed;
prospects for technical and economic development and features of the enterprise (divisions);
principles of operation, technical and economic characteristics, design features of the used technical means, materials, their properties;
modern means of computer technology, communications and communications;
research methods, rules and conditions for the performance of work;
basic requirements for technical documentation;
methods for carrying out technical calculations and determining the economic efficiency of research and development;
achievements of science and technology, advanced domestic and foreign experience in the relevant field of activity;
fundamentals of labor legislation;
the procedure for developing standards for material, labor and financial costs;
methods for determining the economic efficiency of introducing new equipment and technology, labor organization, rationalization proposals and inventions;
rules for the preparation of materials for the conclusion of contracts;
organization of operational and statistical accounting;
the procedure and terms for compiling the established reporting;
rules of internal labor regulations;
rules and norms of labor protection, safety measures, industrial sanitation and fire protection.

The Lead Engineer reports directly to the Chief Mechanic.
During the absence of the lead engineer (illness, vacation, business trip, etc.), his duties are performed by a person appointed in the prescribed manner.

II. Official duties

Lead Engineer:

Performs all actions required for registration with the Gostekhnadzor bodies related to the acquisition, operation and decommissioning of the company's construction equipment.
Develops methodological and regulatory documents, technical documentation, as well as proposals and measures for the implementation of the developed activities and programs.
Conducts a feasibility study, comprehensively substantiates the decisions made and implemented, seeks ways to reduce the cycle of work, assists in the preparation of the process of their implementation, providing the company's departments with the necessary technical data, documents, materials, equipment, etc.
He studies and analyzes information, technical data, indicators and results of work, generalizes and systematizes them, makes the necessary calculations using modern electronic computers.
Takes part in the feasibility study of the development of new equipment and technology, mechanization and automation of production processes.
Develops technical and economic standards for material and labor costs to determine the cost of work.
Makes an estimate calculation, tariffs for the work of mechanization and vehicles.
Performs work on the formation, maintenance and storage of a database of planning and economic information, makes changes to reference and regulatory information used in data processing.
Provides methodological and practical assistance in the implementation of projects and programs, plans and contracts.
Carries out an examination of technical and economic documentation, supervision and control over the condition and operation of equipment.
Promotes the development of creative initiative, rationalization, invention, the introduction of achievements of domestic and domestic science, technology, economics, the use of best practices that ensure the efficient operation of the enterprise.
Performs individual official assignments of his immediate supervisor.

III. Rights

The Lead Engineer has the right to:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise relating to its activities.
Submit proposals for improvement of the work related to the responsibilities provided for in this instruction for consideration by the management.
Notify the immediate supervisor of all shortcomings in the production activities of the enterprise (its structural divisions) identified in the process of performing official duties and make proposals for their elimination.
Request personally or on behalf of the immediate supervisor from the heads of enterprise departments and specialists information and documents necessary for the performance of official duties.
Involve specialists from all structural divisions in solving the tasks assigned to him (with the permission of the management).
Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties.

IV. A responsibility

The lead engineer is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
