A powerful stabilized voltage converter is designed to power various devices designed for mains voltage from batteries.

Powerful stabilized voltage converter

The main parameters:

  • DC supply voltage, V.......24
  • Output sinusoidal voltage, V.......220
  • Output voltage frequency, Hz.......50
  • Maximum output power, W......90
  • Efficiency, % ...... not less than 70
  • Load frequency instability, Hz/W.......0,003

The converter circuit contains a master oscillator that generates rectangular pulses and a power amplifier based on a ferroresonant stabilizer. The magnetic circuit of the transformer T2 is separated by a magnetic shunt MSH. The primary winding is located on the non-saturated part of the magnetic circuit, the secondary winding is located on the part that enters saturation.

Due to this and the presence of a high-quality oscillatory circuit formed by part of the winding II and capacitor C4, with rectangular pulses, a sinusoidal voltage is removed from the secondary winding. Transistors V5, V6 are installed on radiators designed for a dissipation power of at least 5 watts. Matching transformer T1 - incandescent TN 36 127/220-50. Instead, you can use a network transformer from the radio "Riga-101" or "Riga-102". In this case, the role of the primary winding is performed by its two 127 V windings connected in series. This transformer can be made independently by winding the primary winding of 16 x 24 turns of wire PEV-2 - 700 and the secondary of 1 x 0,2 turns of wire PEV-2 - 95 on a magnetic circuit Ш1 x 0,59.

Transformer T2 with a magnetic shunt - ready from a voltage stabilizer C-0,09. The mains winding of the stabilizer is removed and a winding of I - 2 X 75 turns of PEV-2 wire with a diameter of 2,44 mm is wound in its place. The compensation winding is not used, it is only necessary to carefully isolate its conclusions. Capacitor C4 is connected to the terminals of the output winding (not all terminals are shown in the diagram). The device can also be powered by 12 V, however, the load power should not exceed 40 W. In this case, the resistance of the resistor R7 is 51 ohms.

Transformer T1 - output transformer from the receiver "VEF-12", "Speedola", "VEF-202" or from the tape recorder "Kometa-206". The secondary winding, made in two wires, is separated and connected in series. Winding I of transformer T2 must contain 2 X 34 turns of wire PEV-2 2,44

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

martian flood 02.12.2020

A team of specialists studying data from the Curiosity rover concluded that in the distant past, Mars was subjected to a planetary-scale flood, which could be triggered by a space disaster.

The work was carried out by employees of Jackson State University (USA), the University of Hawaii and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Scientists studied data from Curiosity obtained in the Gale crater, whose age is estimated at 3,5-3,8 billion years.

Scientists have come to the conclusion that the sedimentary rocks contained in the Gale crater appeared as a result of a flood, accompanied by a rapid movement of fluid flows.

Researchers believe that a huge flood on the Red Planet occurred about 4 billion years ago as a result of a collision with another cosmic body. This event triggered a release of energy, resulting in a large-scale melting of ice. At the same time, water vapor, carbon dioxide and methane released into the atmosphere provoked climate change. And on the surface of Mars fell long heavy rains.

The Curiosity rover was sent to the Red Planet on November 26, 2011 and made a soft landing on August 6, 2012. This robot is the largest and heaviest planetary rover ever created by man.
