This device is designed for smooth adjustment of the brightness of LEDs with one button control without fixation. The device is built on the K145AP2 chip. This chip is designed to create electronic touch dimmers with control of all functions using a single sensor. To turn on, turn off and set the required brightness of the lighting, a signal is used from the sensor or from an external control device.

Structural diagram K145AP2 is shown in Fig.1. The microcircuit is produced in a flat plastic DIP-16 package (Fig. 2a), the pinout is shown in Fig. 2b, and the pinout is in the table.

The scheme of the device is shown in Fig.3.

When you press the SB1 button, the HL1...HL15 LEDs start to glow at minimum brightness. If the button is held down for more than 0,5 s, the brightness of the glow changes cyclically from minimum to maximum. When the button is released, the adjustment process stops and the set brightness is saved. Thus, you can choose the desired illumination.

A pulse generator is built on the elements of the DD1 chip. These pulses are fed to the CF input (pin 2) of the DA1 chip and start the internal oscillator of the chip. The parametric stabilizer R3-VD1 generates a voltage of 12 V to power the DD1 chip.

The circuit uses MLT-0,25 resistors, capacitors C1 ... C4 - type K10-17, C5 - K50-35. Button SB1 - any small-sized (non-latching). Transistor VT1 must be provided with a small heat sink ("flag"). LEDs - white, high brightness, with a working current of 20 mA. The elements of the device are placed on a small-sized printed circuit board (Fig. 4a), the LEDs are arranged on a separate board in the form of an equilateral triangle (Fig. 4b).

When soldering the DA1 chip, you must take measures to protect against static electricity. The device is powered from a stabilized source of 15 V/0,4 A.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Mystery of natural mushroom factory solved 01.05.2012

Researchers at the University of Bristol have unraveled the mystery of a mushroom 'natural factory' that could help develop new drugs.

In 1942, scientists first isolated an aromatic compound known as stypitic acid from mushrooms. By 1945, the structure of this substance had been studied, but it turned out to be so unique that it revolutionized organic chemistry.

Stipitatic acid is very unusual. It shows properties similar to the aromatic six-membered rings of benzene, but is a seven-membered carbon rings known as tropolones. Until now, it was a mystery how fungi synthesize such a substance using biological processes, because chemists managed to produce tropolone rings only with the help of complex chemical reactions in the presence of nickel and platinum.

Using a combination of genetic and chemical methods, scientists have for the first time identified the genes responsible for the production of tropolones in mushrooms. The researchers blocked the synthesis process at various stages and thus restored the pattern of synthesis at the molecular level.

Stipitatic acid is the basis of a number of fungal compounds that can be used to make antidepressants, antimalarials, and antibacterials. The discovery of the biosynthetic process for tropolone could lead to the creation of cheap and efficient methods for the production of new drugs.

Currently, scientists plan to use genetic engineering to create mushrooms capable of producing new medicinal compounds.

I think that this chip can be used in the equalizer. Use OED instead of LEDs. And they, in turn, adjust the levels in the equalizer bands. You just need to raise the frequency at the CA input to ultrasonic to prevent the signal from being modulated by the frequency of the clock generator. Of course, filter... [lol] But it's just an idea. [roll]
