Schematic diagram of the converter is shown in the figure. On the DA1 chip, the KR1006VI1 precision timer, a clock pulse generator with an operating frequency of approximately 50 kHz is assembled.

From output 3 of the DA1 chip, the signal is fed to the input of the D-flip-flop DDL. At the outputs Q and Q of the DD1 microcircuit, pulses appear, which, through the drivers on the transistors VT1 and VT2, arrive at the gates of the key transistors VT3, VT4, the load of which is the pulse transformer T1.

The voltage from the secondary winding of the transformer is rectified by a rectifier on diodes VD2 ... VD5 and smoothed by a filter consisting of two capacitors C9 and C10 connected in parallel.

A constant voltage of 350 V is supplied to the thyristor pulse generator.

With the parameters of the elements of the timing circuits indicated in the diagram, the pulse current at the output of the device can reach 10 A (at a voltage of 270 ... 350 V).

In case of overload, the frequency of the output pulses is limited by the elements R23, VD7, C14, which, through the divider R15, R16, supply a voltage that suspends the operation of the generator on the transistor VT5. Resistor R13 can change the duration of the output pulse and thus adjust the output power. Resistor R13 selects the repetition rate of the output pulses.

The following types of radio components are used in the device. Fixed resistors - MLT, R23 - wire, variable resistors R13 and R18 - any type. Non-polar capacitors type K10-17. Transistors VT1, VT2, VT5, VT6 - any silicon type KT315, KT3102 As VT3, VT4, the author used Motorola transistors, but they can be replaced with cheaper domestic-made transistors, choosing, respectively, according to the drain pulse current (at least 10 A ).

Transformer T1 is used industrial from the primary power source of the GoldStar monitor. The secondary windings of the 5 V source were used as windings I, II, and the primary winding of the network key was used as winding III. The transformer can be made independently by winding it on a ring ferrite core of the M2000NM brand, size K38x16x9.

The primary windings contain 6 turns of PEV-2-1,5 mm wire. Secondary winding - 190 turns with PEV-2 wire 00,5 mm. The windings must be carefully insulated, and after debugging the design, it is better to fill them with epoxy. The device must be configured by checking the operation of the circuit nodes with an oscilloscope.

During setup, as a load, it is necessary to connect a load equivalent to the output - two series-connected light bulbs with a power of 100 W at 220 V.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Microsoft buys Skype 24.06.2011

After a number of rumors about the possible purchase of the largest VoIP-telephony service by companies such as Google and Facebook, on May 10, quite unexpectedly for many, there was an announcement about the acquisition of Skype by Microsoft Corporation.

The deal amounted to $8,5 billion, which, according to some analysts, is an overestimation of the value of Skype, even despite the colossal number of users of the service worldwide - more than 170 million. popular platforms, including mobile ones, which will not be superfluous for joint promotion of Windows Phone 7 with Nokia.

Another area of application for Skype technologies could be gaming services Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live. In addition, video chat capabilities are likely to appear for Windows Live users as well.
