Transformerless AF amplifiers, op-amp devices can be powered from a bipolar stabilized source.

Simple bipolar power supply, 220 / + -0,7-5,5 volts 2,5 amps

The main parameters:

  • Output voltage of each arm, V ....... 0,7 .. 5,5
  • Maximum load current, A ....... 2,5
  • Stabilization factor......1200
  • Output resistance, Ohm at a load current of 0,5 A.......0,01
  • at a load current of 2,5 A ....... 0,015
  • Double amplitude of the output voltage ripple (at a load current of 2,5 A), V ....... 2

Resistors R5 and R11 are used to set the protection operation current. Transistors V5, V9 must be installed on radiators with an area of 200 cm2. The HI lamp indicates the inclusion of the stabilizer, the H2 lamp serves as an indicator of overloads of one or both arms of the stabilizer.

Transistors V5, V9 have a current transfer ratio of at least 30, V6 and V8 - at least 90, and V7, V10 - at least 50.

The power transformer T1 is assembled on a W20 x 40 core (window 17 x 26 mm). The primary winding I contains 1500 turns of wire PEV-2 - 0,27 with a tap from the 840th turn, the secondary winding II has 2 x 180 turns of wire PEV-2 - 0,72 with a tap from the 45th turn to power signal lamps Relay K1 and K2 type RES-9 (passport RS4.524 200). Lamps HI and H2 - CM37.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

CoinGuard Wireless Sensor for Burglar Alarm 17.10.2014

Pilot Labs, a home automation and security solutions company, has launched a fundraiser on KickStarter to produce a new product called CoinGuard.

The development of CoinGuard is an example of using the Internet of Things to protect premises and various items. Conventional security systems tend to focus their efforts on detecting intrusion into the protected area by intruders. CoinGuard allows you to detect the impact on protected items. The electronic device is a miniature sensor equipped with a wireless interface. It is able to respond to movement and vibration, so it can simply be placed on a guarded item or placed inside. If the sensor detects unexpected activity, it will send a notification to the smartphone or some other device.

The sensor is powered by a battery, and this provides freedom in choosing its location. For example, it can be put in a jewelry box, a camera bag, a secret compartment of a closet with money and valuables, or attached to a safe door, as well as a TV. The main requirement is the presence of a gateway to access the network within a radius of up to 100 m. Up to 256 such sensors can be connected to one gateway.

I collected this one when I studied at vocational school. The output voltage was regulated from +/- 14-30V, the protection current was 0,3-3A. Countless amplifiers with its help were launched, never burned down. Powerful transistors were only P210 and KT803.
