It is no secret that when two telephone sets are connected to one telephone line, their users face a number of inconveniences. Especially if parallel devices are installed in different apartments. The main problem lies in the fact that when a call is received, it is difficult to determine which subscriber is being called.

You can get rid of this inconvenience if you install a telephone with caller ID (CALL) on one of the two parallel lines, which has voice duplication of the call. A two-wire line must be drawn to another apartment, to which a dynamic head must be connected. By connecting this line in parallel with the regular dynamic head of the phone with caller ID, the owners of the devices will be able to hear information about incoming numbers and pick up the phone when they call one of them.

Of course, if the number on the display is not determined or the caller is unfamiliar to one of the subscribers, you will have to use the method known to all owners of parallel phones, that is, say: "Please call back again."

Typically, a phone with caller ID works in the "auto-pickup" mode of the handset. If you do not set the mode in which the caller ID skips several calls before "auto-raising", then another parallel device, at best, will make one ring and fall silent. The application of the described refinement allows you to immediately determine the number and broadcast a voice message and a call to a neighboring apartment.

In practice, the connection of an additional dynamic head fully proved the feasibility of the proposed idea. Using a parallel telephone has become much more convenient and pleasant (the author used AON with the Rus-22 software version).

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

The influence of music on the state of memory 26.07.2022

Regular listening to music by older people has a positive effect on brain function and improves memory. This conclusion was reached by a group of therapists, neurologists and geriatricians led by Psyche Louis, director of the Music Visualization and Neural Dynamics Laboratory.

During the study, volunteers aged 54 to 89 were asked to listen to a music playlist daily for an hour, tailored to their preferences. Participants of the experiment kept diaries describing their state of health and impressions. Scientists measured the parameters of brain activity for each musical session.

Listening to music has been found to improve communication between the auditory sensory system and the brain structures associated with the reward system. Music sessions affected brain activity by touching the medial prefrontal cortex. It is known that a reduction in the volume of this zone leads to a disturbance in the perception of events, the development of depression, and in old age - to functional disorders inherent in dementia, including memory impairment.

Listening to music familiar to the participants in the experiment and loved by them had the greatest effect, especially if the songs were chosen for the playlist by the volunteers themselves.

The authors of the study indicated that regular listening to music improves memory, which can be used to prevent disorders of this brain function.
