The article describes the original author's method of soldering a surface mount processor.

We open the device for repair, there is no circuit, we find a broken zener diode and, in the best traditions of pathfinders, we begin to crawl along the path, trying to find the source of the malfunction. The track crawls up to the surface-mount processor with legs on four sides and is safely lost under its bowels.

This is a real situation in which you can sit down and think about whether it is worth soldering this cockroach for the sake of your curiosity.

Of course, you can resolder with a simple soldering iron, hooking your legs with a needle, pulling a thread, and the like, but in order to leave a decent view of the installation, you need accuracy, and most importantly, a lot of time. Having in your arsenal a simple tool called a building hair dryer, this operation can be reduced to a couple of minutes, and the fact that the microcircuit was soldered and put in place can only be determined by the fresher type of tin under the feet of the microcircuit, in a couple of months the replacement will not be determined by any one expert, because the soldering will be purely factory.

Try two times to determine which of the microcircuits was removed and put in place:

The use of a building hair dryer in the repair of electronic equipment

That's right, left. Shinier tin, the chip is rotated 90 degrees and the key is facing the 64th leg. It took one minute to remove it, another minute to put it back in place.

Although, in principle, the replacement for such a time is not correct, following the rules, you must follow the thermal profile and spend at least 5 minutes on a gradual warm-up, but I personally do not have the patience for these rules. So far, this has not led to sad consequences, all the replaced parts have worked.

As a flux, ordinary rosin is used, tin is enough for what remains on the tracks. Flux residues after soldering are washed off with alcohol using a brush, you don’t need to leave dirt behind, it’s not aesthetically pleasing, harmful to solders, and so that you would not be considered a freak during subsequent repairs.

And now about the hair dryer itself, which one to choose. And anyone who has 300 degrees of hot air at the outlet of the nozzle, that is, just not for women. Ruffles for a smooth change in temperature, various air flow rates, this is already at the request of the buyer, it is more convenient to use, but convenience is not critical. The only thing you need to take care of is the purchase, or the independent manufacture of adapters from tin that has turned up under the arm for a smaller nozzle diameter, it is not at all necessary to heat the floor of the board in order to remove the smd memory for 8 legs.

Before soldering anything on a working device, you need to practice on an unnecessary one; old computer boards are ideal for this. It is necessary to choose the distance for a particular hair dryer from which to blow so that the board does not burn.

In principle, you can also purchase a hot air soldering station, although it will be more expensive, it will be more convenient to use, but at the same time versatility is lost, because a hair dryer can also be used for its direct construction purpose. Again, the device that came after the next cat and the board washed by the fairies in the bath can be turned on after half an hour of drying with this device. Fast and convenient.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Created the most powerful magnet in the world 22.12.2017

A powerful superconducting magnet presented by American developers generates a field with a magnetic induction of 32 Tesla, which is 3 times more than the previous record and 3 times "stronger" than a souvenir fridge magnet. The novelty was developed by engineers from the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory together with SuperPower Inc.

The design of the 32 T magnet is a hybrid of low and high temperature superconductors. Along the way, the developers managed to create a number of new methods for isolating, amplifying and supplying energy to the system. A magnetic field of 32 T will help scientists in studying the interaction of electrons with each other and their atomic environment. A heavy-duty magnet is also necessary for the creation of scientific instruments - X-rays and neutron scatterers. The novelty will be available for use by scientists from all over the world in their scientific research, which will help in new discoveries in various fields of knowledge, including physics, chemistry and biology.

The discovery of high-temperature superconductors by Karl Müller and Georg Bednorz in 32 helped scientists create a super-powerful 1986 T magnet. The use of superconductors of this type has become available at relatively high temperatures, at which the effect of superconductivity is triggered. Scientists who made breakthroughs in the science of superconductors were awarded the Nobel Prize in 1987.

A more powerful magnet had already been created earlier, the team from the MagLab laboratory managed to obtain a device based on conventional conductors with a power of 41.4 T, but for its operation it required too much energy (32 megawatts of DC power), which made it impractical.
