 I allowed myself to slightly change the circuit - the value of the resistor in the emitter circuit of the second transistor was reduced from 100 ohms to 51 ohms. Thus, the circuit is able to check the integrity of circuits and radio elements whose DC resistance is >5 ohms.

Probe of electrical circuits and radioelements

Those. if the resistance of the circuit under study is 5 ohms or less, the probe shows a short circuit (the LED is on), otherwise, the circuit is considered unbroken (the radio element is not broken).

Principle of operation. On the first two transistors, a comparator (comparison device) is assembled, included in the diagonal of the measuring bridge on resistors connected to the emitters of the transistors. The ratio of the resistances of the upper resistors to the resistance of the lower ones is the same, this is the bridge equilibrium condition. It is easy to see that at the indicated ratings, the equilibrium condition is met with a tested resistance of 5 mo.

The input diode is switched on to limit the voltage supplied to the circuit under test (up to Upr=0.2-0.3 V for germanium diodes). This allows you to test semiconductor pn junctions in a small signal mode, i.e. serviceable transitions of diodes and transistors (silicon) at this voltage - do not shift (do not open). And with broken transitions, a short circuit is indicated. It is clear that most inductors cannot be tested with this probe (low winding resistance).

With such a probe, you can check the elements WITHOUT SOLDERING THEM FROM THE SCHEME.

However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. New material catches carbon dioxide molecules 20.10.2019

Researchers from the University of Kyoto, the University of Tokyo (Japan) and Jiangsu University (China) have developed a new material that can selectively capture carbon dioxide (CO2) molecules and efficiently convert them into useful organic materials.

The new material is a porous coordination polymer (PCP, also known as MOF, metal-organic framework) - a framework composed of zinc metal ions. The researchers tested their material using X-ray diffraction analysis and found that it could selectively capture only CO2 molecules with ten times the efficiency of other PCPs.

Human consumption of fossil fuels has led to an increase in global CO2 emissions, leading to serious problems associated with global warming and climate change. One way to counter this is to "remove" carbon from the atmosphere, but current methods of doing so are very energy intensive. The low reactivity of carbon dioxide makes it difficult to capture and convert.

How does the new material capture carbon dioxide molecules? It has an organic component with a propeller-like molecular structure: as CO2 molecules approach the material, these "propellers" rotate and rearrange to allow the capture of CO2, resulting in small changes in the molecular channels in the PCP. The material acts like a molecular sieve, able to recognize carbon dioxide molecules by size and shape. An important advantage of PCP is that it can be recycled and reused. During the experiments, the efficiency did not decrease even after ten reaction cycles.

And captured carbon dioxide molecules can also be used to advantage: carbon dioxide can be processed into valuable chemicals, such as cyclic carbonates, that can be used in petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals.
