The device is intended for use in amateur radio practice, it makes it possible to measure the capacitance of capacitors within 10 pF - 10 μF, the inductance of coils and chokes within 10 μH -1 H. The measurement error does not exceed 4%, the results are displayed on the microammeter scale at 100 μA.

On the microcircuits, a generator of rectangular pulses is made, the frequency of which can be changed in steps using the switch S1. This is followed by a measuring bridge with a microammeter at the output. Coils and capacitors are connected, respectively, to the "L" and "C" connectors. The device is powered from a mains source on a power transformer T1, a diode rectifier on VD6-VD9 and a stabilizer on VT1.

When selecting parts, you can take almost any decimal CMOS or MOS counters, for example, K561IE14 or K176IE4, and turn them on in series according to the decade divider circuit. It should be borne in mind that for K176 microcircuits, it is necessary to increase the supply voltage to 9-10 V by replacing the KS156 zener diode with D818, KS210. In general, to power the K561 microcircuits, you can select a voltage from 5 to 15 volts, respectively, and a zener diode can be selected for this voltage. Diodes D9 can be replaced with D18, D20 or, better, with GD507. KD522 - any silicon impulse.

However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Gene therapy cures deafness 05.11.2023

Gene therapy has provided a breakthrough in the treatment of congenital deafness, allowing the first children to hear sounds. Chinese researchers, together with a team of scientists from the pharmaceutical company Regeneron, have successfully eliminated a genetic defect in the otoferlin gene.

Both groups of scientists have developed and are testing gene therapy targeting the otoferlin gene. This gene, if defective, disrupts the transmission of signals from the hair cells of the inner ear to the vestibulocochlear nerve, which is responsible for the perception of sound vibrations. Gene therapy seeks to restore normal levels of the otoferlin protein by introducing a working copy of the gene into inner ear cells using modified adenoviruses through a single injection into the helix.

Regeneron just announced in mid-October the start of trials of gene therapy for deafness in children in the US, UK and Europe, and has already received encouraging results. In one case, a child under two years of age who received an injection in one ear was able to regain hearing after six weeks, which was confirmed by behavioral audiometry and brainstem response.

Chinese scientists from Fudan University provided information on ten children who participated in their study. As a result, hearing was restored in four children, although the method did not work in one child, possibly due to immunity to the virus used as a gene delivery agent.
