A popular intercom today is the intercom. It allows residents of a house or cottage to conduct remote negotiations with a visitor who has pressed the bell button at the entrance or near the gate. A relatively simple intercom design is proposed in this article. The intercom consists of a main amplifier with a handset and a power source, which are located in the apartment in a convenient place for use, and a microphone with an amplifier and a dynamic head, installed on the front door or gate.

The main amplifier circuit is shown in fig. 1. The BM1 microphone and the BA1 dynamic head are located in the handset, from which the parts that were previously in it are removed. In the position of the contacts of the SA1 switch shown in the diagram and the pressed button SB1, the landing, the space near the gate or the visitor's response is being listened to. When the switch knob is moved to the opposite position, you can send a message to the visitor or ask questions. The volume of the visitor's answers is regulated by a variable resistor R1. Clamps "A" - "G" are connected to similar ones on an external amplifier (Fig. 2). It is advisable to use a three-wire harness in a shielding braid that acts as a conductor - "B".

The amplifier uses available parts. Transistor VT4 can be any of the KT814 series, the rest - any of the KT361 series. Variable resistor R1 - SP5-2V or another suitable in size and resistance, fixed resistors - MLT-0,125. In the main amplifier, a dynamic head with a power of 0,25 W is used, in the remote one - 0,5 W. Microphone VM1 - electromagnetic DEMSh-1, VM2 - electret MKE-3. Capacitors - any type. Power source - battery "Krona".

The parts of the main amplifier are mounted on a board made of one-sided foil material, shown in fig. 3, and the remote amplifier - in fig. 4. In the author's version, the main amplifier board, power supply and parts not mounted on the board are placed in the body of the old telephone (the parts have been removed from it, of course). A variable resistor, a switch and a button are fixed on the front panel of the device. The connection of the handset with the details of the amplifier is made with a shielded wire.

To accommodate the parts of the remote amplifier, a case was made of foil fiberglass. The sensitivity of the intercom is such that when the remote amplifier is located above the gate at a height of two meters and the length of the connecting line is 15 m, the connection is quite loud. If necessary, the greatest sensitivity and volume of communication is achieved by selecting resistors R2, R5, R8.

This operation is carried out, of course, before installing a remote amplifier, but with a connected communication line of the appropriate length. You can't do without an assistant. At the time of tuning the amplifiers, these resistors can be replaced by chains of a variable resistor that is slightly larger than that indicated in the diagram, and a constant resistor with a resistance of 10 ... 20 kΩ connected in series with it.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Environmentally friendly self-propelled gun Centauro-II 08.12.2018

A combat vehicle, like a tank or a self-propelled gun, must not pollute nature. After that, she can drive and shoot, completing the tasks assigned by the command. Such is the wisdom of our time.

The Italian army adopted the Centauro-II self-propelled artillery mount. This is an advanced modification of the previous "Centauro" - an eight-wheeled armored car with bulletproof armor and a large-caliber gun: 120 or 105 mm. The machine is designed for reconnaissance and, under favorable conditions, the destruction of enemy equipment.

Currently, the Italian army plans to purchase more than 100 Centauro II vehicles to replace part of the Centauro fleet (of which about 300 remain in service with the Italian army).

The Centauro II armored vehicle has a running gear based on the running gear of the Freccia (8x8) armored personnel carrier, but a new armored hull and a new Iveco Vector 8V diesel engine with a capacity of more than 720 hp. (versus 520 hp for the old Centauro and 560 hp for the Freccia). The combat weight of the Centauro II is officially 30 tons (against 24 tons for the Centauro), and in fact, in a fully equipped state, perhaps more. The length of the Centauro II hull is 7,4 m, the width is 3,14 m, the clearance is 0,4 m. The vehicle has an increased level of ballistic and mine protection.

The prototype was presented to the press in 2016, the arrival of the first vehicles into service is expected in 2020-21.

One of the features of the new combat vehicle will be the compliance of the new smoke grenade launchers with European environmental standards.
