Below is a diagram of a power regulator for a soldering iron. The scheme was repeatedly collected by me and my friends. The main advantage of this circuit is the availability of components: oak KT315 and KT361, the well-known D814 and KU202N, not to mention resistors and capacitors (one in the circuit). Regulator power: up to 10A (in amperes), but depends on the thyristor and VD2.
When you connect this device to a 220V incandescent lamp, you will notice that it flickers, this is due to the VD2 diode, because. it gives a ripple with a frequency of 50 Hz. If this bothers you a lot, then instead of it you need to connect a diode bridge and everything will be fine, the ripple frequency will be 100 Hz.
Because the thyristor is heated, be sure to install it on the radiator.
Power control is carried out using a variable resistor R2.
The circuit is mainly intended to control the power of the soldering iron, but of course it can be used in other circumstances, it all depends on your imagination.
