Strictly speaking, not only the amplifier. The scheme below allows you to automatically disconnect any sound-reproducing device from the network if there is no sound output from it for some time.

The circuit is powered by the device's internal power supply. The S1 button is used to turn on. Both capacitors are charged, the transistors open and the relay blocks the button with its contacts, thus leaving the device on. Further, the sound signal from the output of the amplifier or whatever you have is fed to the input of the transistor VT1 and does not allow it to close. In the absence of a signal at the output, the capacitors are discharged, the transistors are closed and the relay de-energizes the load. The turn-off time delay depends on the capacitance of the capacitors C1 and C2, as well as the resistor R3. The more all this is, the longer the device will remain on in the absence of any signs of life at the output.
