This universal indicator device is just a godsend for you, as it combines two indicators in all its simplicity. The device allows not only to identify hidden wiring, but also to detect any metal object located in the wall or floor (fittings, old wires, etc.), and thus greatly facilitate the search for a place for hiding equipment.

The device consists of two independent devices: a metal detector and an indicator of hidden electrical wiring (Fig. 1). An RF generator is assembled on the transistor VT1, which is entered into the excitation mode by adjusting the voltage based on VT1 using the potentiometer R6. The RF voltage is rectified by the VD1 diode and puts the comparator assembled on the op amp DA1 into a position in which the HL1 LED goes out and the generator of periodic sound signals assembled on the DA1 chip is off. By turning the sensitivity knob R6, the operating mode of VT1 is set at the generation threshold, which is controlled by turning off the HL1 LED and the periodic signal generator. When a metal object enters the inductance field L1/L2, the generation breaks down, the comparator switches and the position at which the HL1 LED lights up, and a periodic voltage with a frequency of about 1000 Hz is applied to the piezoceramic emitter with a period of about 0,2 s.

Resistor R2 is designed to set the generation threshold mode at the middle position of potentiometer R6.

The hidden wiring indicator is assembled on the basis of a micropower operational amplifier DA2. When located near the wiring of the wire connected to the input of the amplifier, the industrial frequency pickup of 50 Hz is perceived by the WA2 antenna, amplified by a sensitive amplifier assembled on DA2, and the HL2 LED switches with this frequency.

Structurally, the device is made in a case soldered from foil fiberglass and painted with nitro enamel. The receiving antennas WA1 and WA2 should be as far away from the hand as possible and located in the head of the device. It should be noted that the part of the housing in which the antennas are located must not have an internal foil coating. SB1 switches the operating modes, the power switch SB2 is combined R6 The battery type "Korund" is used as a power source

Consumption currents for various operating modes:

Standby mode of the metal detector .............................. 2 mA
Turning on the LED and giving a sound signal ..... 10 mA
Standby mode of the hidden wiring finder .............. 0,2 mA
Turning on the LED................................................... .....2 mA

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

802.11ac Devolo WiFi Stick ac adapter 02.12.2015

Almost all laptops and other portable devices support some form of 802.11 wireless standard. But the capabilities of the built-in controller do not always correspond to modern conditions - for example, there is no possibility of operating in the 5 GHz band. Devolo will come to the aid of the owners of such devices with its new WiFi Stick ac product.

This wireless adapter looks like the receivers of Logitech Unifying wireless products, it is so small. Its dimensions are only 19 x 14 x 7 millimeters, so it will hardly protrude from the USB port. Despite this, the device fully supports the 802.11ac standard. Of course, not in the maximum antenna configuration, which would be difficult to expect from such a tiny adapter.

The WiFi Stick ac uses 1 x 1 mode and the only frequency is 5GHz, and the maximum transfer rate is 433Mbps. A nice step up from compact 802.11n adapters, most often limited to 150 Mbps. The maximum communication range can reach 300 meters, but only in the absence of serious obstacles. WPA, WPA2 and WPS PBC security standards are supported. The device does not require drivers for Windows, and the driver for OS X is available on the manufacturer's website.

Price Devolo WiFi Stick ac - 30 euros.
