This transmitter is suitable for operation as part of telecontrol systems or in radio security devices that do not have strict requirements for the stability of the frequency of the transmitted signal (for example, if the receiver is a super-regenerator). Amplitude manipulation.

The transmitter at a 50-ohm load when powered from a +12V source develops a power of 0,2 W. Operates at frequencies in the 27 MHz range. Maximum current consumption 80 mA.

The diagram is shown in the figure. It resembles the circuit of a push-pull high-frequency erasure and magnetization generator from a tape recorder (GSP). In principle, just such a scheme was taken as a basis, only its parameters were changed in accordance with the fact that the transmitter must operate at a much higher frequency (27 MHz versus 100 kHz for GPS). The high-frequency generator itself is made of two transistors VT1 and VT2, connected according to a symmetrical multivibrator circuit with an inductive load. Capacitors C2 and C3 are feedback elements, and the two halves of the coil L1 serve as loads for the multivibrator arms. Resistors R3 and R4 create the necessary bias at the bases of these transistors. The supply voltage is supplied to the tap of the coil L1, as well as to the base circuits through R3 and R4.

Push-pull transmitter for remote control

The generation frequency is determined by the circuit, which includes L1 and C4, as well as capacitances C2 and C3 and the capacitance of transistors VT1 and VT2. The output signal is taken from the coupling coil L2, the number of turns of which depends on the equivalent resistance of the antenna.

The circuit is characterized by a large RF voltage swing at the L1 pins, which can reach 50 V or more.

The manipulator is made on transistor VT3, this is a transistor switch, which, when a high logical level voltage is applied to its input (base) (via R5), opens and closes the power circuit of the transmitter, putting it into action. The maximum equivalent frequency of input pulses is 3000 Hz; at a higher frequency, the RF generator may start unsteadily.

If it is necessary that the manipulation is not 100%, or if you need to arrange amplitude modulation, you can apply some bias voltage to the VT3 base so that it is open or slightly open (depending on what modulation mode is required) in the absence of an input modulating signal.

Coils L1 and L2 are wound on a ceramic frame with a diameter of 8 mm, there is no core. L1 contains 20 turns with a tap from the middle, 12 - 5 turns located on the surface of L1, in its center. Wire PEV-0,56 (0,5...0,7 is possible).

Transistors KT608 can be replaced with KT603, KT630.

By changing the capacitance of capacitor C4 within 6...500 pF, you can configure the generator to any frequency in the range of 10...35 MHz, and changing the values of any other circuit elements is not required. If C4 is replaced with an air variable capacitor of the KPE-2V type (12..495 pF), you can get a tunable high-frequency generator with a relatively powerful output, which can be very useful in a radio amateur workshop when setting up receiving or transmitting equipment.

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Primium Seneca keyboard 05.05.2024

Keyboards are an integral part of our daily computer work. However, one of the main problems that users face is noise, especially in the case of premium models. But with the new Seneca keyboard from Norbauer & Co, that may change. Seneca is not just a keyboard, it is the result of five years of development work to create the ideal device. Every aspect of this keyboard, from acoustic properties to mechanical characteristics, has been carefully considered and balanced. One of the key features of Seneca is its silent stabilizers, which solve the noise problem common to many keyboards. In addition, the keyboard supports various key widths, making it convenient for any user. Although Seneca is not yet available for purchase, it is scheduled for release in late summer. Norbauer & Co's Seneca represents new standards in keyboard design. Her ... >>

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Honda hearing robot 05.12.2012

Engineers at the Honda Research Institute rightly reasoned that a modern robot's keen hearing is as necessary as cameras, that is, vision. Deciding to focus on this aspect, the authors of the project built the HEARBO robot, which has a delicate hearing, it perceives sound from four sources at the same time and can point to each of them.

He received this skill thanks to the HARK system. Eight microphones are built into the head of the HEARBO (HEARing robot, which can be translated as "hearing robot"), the data from them is carefully processed. The system filters the sound coming from the 17 HEARBO motors, a step the developers call "self-noise suppression". Then the remaining components of the sound stream are analyzed, the direction to each of the sources is calculated, while the declared accuracy of the calculations is only one degree.

The ability to calculate the source of the sound will help the robot communicate with several people at the same time, which was confirmed in tests. Simulating work in a catering establishment, the robot took four orders from people who spoke at the same time. Similarly, the machine played "rock, paper, scissors", three players simultaneously called their move, and HEARBO determined the winner. In the future, he will be able to make out the speech of one person who addresses him in a noisy crowd. For the robot of the future, this is important.
