The device is intended for "lazy" hunters. It signals via radio channel about the movement of the animal in the controlled area. An order for such a device came from a boar hunter to learn about the activity of animals near the feeder.

Radio alarm for hunters

The device (its circuit is shown in the figure) consists of a radio transmitter A1, a tone generator G1 and a control unit based on microcircuits DA1, DA2 and transistors VT1-VT3. If there is movement in the controlled area, the IR sensor B1 is activated. With his signal, he starts a single vibrator on the DA1 chip, which turns on the radio transmitter A1, and a tone signal is transmitted on the air. The transmitter works all the time while the single vibrator pulse lasts (for the author - about 23 s). Simultaneously with the first, the second one-shot is launched - on the DA2 chip (its pulse duration is approximately 130 s), which blocks the B1 sensor. This is necessary in order to avoid constant operation of the transmitter when animals are active at the feeder, and is especially important if the radio beacon uses the same radio channel as the hunters' communications. In addition, battery power is saved. At the end of the second timer pulse, the device switches back to the waiting mode for a signal from the motion sensor.

The duration of pulses f and t2 (in seconds) of single vibrators on timers DA1 and DA2 is determined by approximate formulas:

t1 ~ 1,1R6C5; t2 ~ 1,1R7C6, where R6, R7 - resistance of resistors in megaohms; C5, C6 - capacitor capacitance in microfarads.

Together with a GB1 battery (voltage 12 V and capacity 7 Ah), the device is placed in a waterproof plastic case. An IR motion sensor B1, used in burglar alarm devices, is fixed on its front wall, an antenna WA1 is located on the upper wall, and a power switch SA1 and an XS1 connector for recharging the battery are located on the lower wall.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

23" Full HD Philips display with ErgoSensor technology 12.11.2012

Royal Philips Electronics has added the widescreen 23P231QRYES 4PXNUMXQRYES IPS panel with white LED backlight to its Brilliance family of monitors.

The novelty is remarkable in that it is endowed with ErgoSensor technology, which, according to the developers, is designed not only to significantly reduce the power consumption of the device, but also to monitor the health of its owner. So, the display automatically turns off whenever there is no one in front of it. In addition, during operation, it gives the user recommendations on the optimal position of the head and the most acceptable distance to the screen for the eyes, and also periodically reminds the need to take a short break to rest.

The product features Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 7ms response time (GTG), 1000:1 contrast ratio (20000000:1 SmartContrast) and 178-degree viewing angle in both planes. It is equipped with two built-in speakers with a power of 1,5 W each, a built-in four-port USB hub, as well as D-Sub, DVI and DisplayPort interfaces. The package includes a height-adjustable stand that allows you to rotate the screen, put it in portrait display mode and change the angle of inclination.

For the European market, the recommended retail price for the product described above is set at 250 euros.
