GSM-security is by far the most promising and, devoid of many shortcomings, means of monitoring remote objects. The GSM radio channel security system is designed to provide security, fire alarms at remote sites.

The described GSM alarm system works together with almost any mobile phone. The phone is used as a GSM transmitter. In the event of an alarm, an SMS is sent or a call is made to the user.

The design of the security GSM-system

The device is based on the Atmel ATTiny2313 microcontroller.

The device is powered from any of two sources: a GSM phone battery or an external power supply. When external power is on, the MK is powered from it and the phone's battery is charged, and if it is not available, from the phone's battery.

A programmer for programming the MK is connected to the J2 "PROGRAMMER" connector.

A mobile phone is connected to the terminals of the MK through the J3 connector. Data exchange between the MC and the mobile phone is carried out under the means of AT commands. The RxD and TxD lines of the phone are connected to the MK serial port. In addition to the RxD and TxD lines, the phone is also connected via the CTS, RTS, DTR lines, which ensures that the device works together with almost all mobile phones.

Sensors are connected to the PB0-PB7 pins of the microcontroller. Capacitors C8-C15 are installed to prevent the influence of RF interference on the sensor loops. The sensors are triggered by a break when disconnected from the common one, thereby preventing the possibility of cutting the sensor cables. Diodes VD3-VD10 protect the MK from getting high voltage from the sensor loops.

As one of the sensors (on diagram F8), you can use the sensor for the presence of external power supply of the security system.

In order for the user to be able to monitor the operation of the device, a signal LED VD2 is connected to the output of the MK.

With proper installation, the device does not require configuration and starts working immediately.

The device is assembled on a one-sided foil fiberglass, 30-35 mm in size, using SND components. Parts that are not installed on the board are installed by surface mounting.

Simple and reliable GSM security Appearance of the finished GSM security device

Description of VD2 LED signals

a) is on - the device is powered;
b) 1 long 1 short - an error in data exchange with the phone (the phone does not support AT commands or the connection with the phone is damaged);
c) 1 long 2 short - connection to the phone is damaged (CTS line is damaged);
d) 1 long 3 short - no number in the first cell;
e) blinking - armed mode is on.

Arming and disarming can be done

a) "dumping a call" from a specific phone to the phone of the security system;
b) turning on switch S2 (code switch, etc.)

The security mode is turned off, it can only be in the same way as it was turned on.
When arming by "call reset", the output to which switch S2 is connected is set to logical "0". Thus, this security system, through the J4 "CSS" ("Central Security System") connector, can be synchronized with the operation of the central security system.

The mobile phone must be configured for the device to work.

a) In the first cell of the phone book on the SIM card, you must write down the number with which the security system will work (send SMS to it, call, turn on and off when the call is dropped only from this number);
b) In cells 1 to 8 on the SIM card, you need to write down SMS messages that will be sent when a certain sensor is triggered (In the first cell of the SMS of the first sensor, in the second - of the second sensor, etc.).

The security system works together with all phones that support AT commands

Simiens - all series except series A (series index above 35).
Sony Ericsson,
Samsung,
Nokia,
Motorola,
Alcatel etc.

Advantages of this security system over existing analogues

1. This system works with almost all GSM phones that support AT commands.
2. It is possible for users to enter SMS text themselves.
3. Turn the system on and off "by dropping the call" (not all phones support)
4. Synchronization with the central security system.

There are 2 firmware versions: DEMO (with a limited set of functions) and paid (contact the author for purchase)

DEMO Firmware Limitations

  - there is no possibility to turn on / off the armed mode by "call reset"
  - there is no possibility of synchronization with the central security system
  - number of sensors - 1 (on PB0)
  - no SMS sending when the sensor is triggered, only a call
  - a maximum of 2 arming, after which a flashing of the MC is required

Download the DEMO version of the firmware, as well as the circuit board of the device in Layot 4 format here

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Revealed the secret of non-freezing water on Mars 17.10.2017

British scientists have discovered a substance that prevents water from freezing on Mars. They concluded that thanks to perchlorate salts, water on the red planet does not freeze at very low temperatures and remains in liquid form.

Scientists organized their study of the "river valleys" of Mars, where the temperature is below 55 degrees Celsius, on melons obtained by the first Martian probes and the Phoenix module. In 2012, for the first time, a hypothesis was put forward for the existence of a compound of chlorine, oxygen and the simplest organic matter, which was called perchlorate.

Studies of the Martian surface have shown that this substance is extremely common there. Later it was found that perchlorate combined with water drawn from the atmosphere forms an aqueous solution that does not freeze at very low temperatures.

Scientists have put forward the theory of the existence of water on Mars. To consolidate his guesses in practice, he created a test site imitating the soil of the red planet and conducted a series of studies on it.

Empirically, it was possible to isolate a compound from chlorine and magnesium oxide, which had an unusual effect on the water molecule, changing it in such a way that the water did not freeze even at minus seventy.
