ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RADIO ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
The composition of the television surveillance system. Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering / Security and safety. Audio and video surveillance System composition is selected based on the number of objects of observation, cost, requirements for ease of management and speed of system response. The same problem can be solved using different system configurations. The cost of a black-and-white camera is on average the same as that of a PTZ device. Therefore, it is more expedient to use a camera with a rotary device, if a viewing angle of more than 180° is required (a 180° viewing angle can be provided by two cameras). The speed of movement of the rotary device is in the range of 0-12 m/s. With the selected average distance to the object (for example, 10 m), it is possible to track the movements of objects moving at a speed of no more than 2 m/s. Depending on the number of objects and the expected maximum speed of their movement (man - 10 m/s, machine - 30 m/s), as well as taking into account the speed of the operator's response, the required speed of the system's response is selected. Additional devices of television surveillance systems allow duplicating some functions of the operator, increasing the reliability of protection, and accelerating the response of the system to attract the attention of the operator and turn on the executive devices. For this purpose, these devices have "alarm" inputs and outputs. "Alarm" inputs are designed to turn on an additional device, such as a multiplexer. The multiplexer switches to display mode on the monitor of the "alarming" zone. The purpose of these outputs is to quickly turn on executing devices. It can be lighting, a siren, etc. When using foreign equipment designed for operation in AC networks with a voltage of 110 V, the power of permissible switched loads should be reduced by 2 times. The ability of the system to work in a slave mode is due to the need to duplicate some of the operator's functions. The use of motion sensors allows you to automatically continuously monitor any number of video images. Regardless of the actions of the operator, the system can turn on the VCR, lighting and other devices. The choice between traditional and computer systems is difficult. The computer system can perform any monitoring and control functions. System response time depends on system management software and operator training. To work in slave mode, you need the appropriate software. Traditional systems are easy to manage and cost less, but the disadvantage is the lack of flexibility: to change the operation of the system, it is necessary to completely redo its scheme. In computer systems, additional functions are easily installed using special software tools. Television cameras are divided into color and black and white. When choosing a color camera, it is necessary to take into account the coordination of color signals in accordance with various standards, the main ones being PAL and NTSC. Cameras made in the USA have the NTSC standard, and if they are used in security systems that have the PAL standard, the image will be black and white. According to their design, television cameras are case and frameless. Frameless cameras are used in covert surveillance systems. In terms of their dimensions, they are smaller than case cameras, and their cost is much lower. Such cameras look like printed circuit boards with electronic parts mounted on them and a rigidly fixed lens. Author: Korshevr N.G. See other articles Section Security and safety.
