Functioning and efficiency alarms largely depend on the installation work carried out on its installation. An untrained auto electrician will most likely be able to properly connect according to the documentation, but in this case, questions about operation and programming may arise.

It is wiser to contact specialized companies that sell and install alarms, and service stations that serve this brand of car, if there is an alarm installation specialist there.

Reputable companies that install alarm systems give a guarantee for the product and for installation.

A simple monoblock alarm system can be installed independently. An example of connecting a simple signaling is shown in fig. 130.

Installation of anti-theft devices

Color coding of conductors may differ from those shown. Before starting work on installing the alarm, you must carefully read the description of the diagram. Choose a place to install the central unit. Install sensors. To test the operation, you must first assemble the alarm. Car alarms can be equipped with additional devices that are connected via a monoblock (for example, to connect an ultrasound scanner).

It is advisable to position the contact sensors so that they are not flooded with water. Some types of alarms have high-resistance inputs, and if water enters the sensor, the alarm is triggered.

Blocks and wiring installed under the hood should be located as far as possible from hot engine parts and spray flying from the road. In appearance, the wiring should be as close as possible to the factory. With the help of protectors and insulation, it must be made so that it does not fray at bends and in through holes.

Blocking relays and the central unit are installed in a hard-to-reach place. If external blocking relays are installed, their location near the ignition switch is undesirable (in case of theft, they will be immediately detected and removed). A well-installed alarm does not catch your eye when you open the hood.

When installing a car alarm, the following work is performed:

- laying of alarm wiring;

- connection of wiring to vehicle wiring;

- installation of the central block;

- installation of an indicator LED;

- installation of a siren;

- installation of a shock sensor;

- installation of additional buttons (if necessary): on the hood, trunk, rear doors;

- installation of additional sensors and devices.

Installing the shock sensor

The sensor is attached using straps, self-adhesive gaskets or self-tapping screws to the car parts, rigidly connected to the body. In case of insufficient sensitivity, it may be necessary to mount the shock sensor directly on the car body.

Due to the fact that it is sometimes difficult to determine the optimal sensitivity during installation work, it is desirable to install the sensor so that access to the sensitivity control is maintained.

Installing the ultrasound scanner

The ultrasonic scanner set consists of two capsules of the same type, connected with the help of conductors to the electronics unit. The location of the block does not matter. Capsules are placed at the top or bottom of the windshield base on both sides of the car. They should be oriented towards the point in the middle of the rear window.

Microwave Scanner Installation

The coverage area of such a scanner has a domed shape. Therefore, it is located closer to the center of the cabin under the ceiling or on the floor, near the handbrake. The scanner must not be covered with metal objects. Its connection must be made in such a way that when the alarm is disarmed, its power is turned off. This is due to the fact that the scanner in the operating mode interferes with the normal functioning of the radar detector.

One of the car alarm systems used not only in our country, but also in many other countries, "Sikura" represents the highest build quality. In robotic workshops, electronic components (Siemens, Motorola, Panasonic) are subjected to repeated testing in order to reduce the defect rate to zero.

After the final test of each finished system within 24 hours of uninterrupted operation, an individual quality certificate is signed. Therefore, more than one and a half hundred different models of "Sikura" are willingly bought in 35 countries of the world.

"Sikura" is not afraid of temperature changes, vibration, power surges. Its reputation will not be tarnished by heavy rain or a visit to the sink: double gaskets completely isolate from moisture. The armored body of the "Sikura" immobilizer is made of tank steel, it can only be opened with an autogenous machine. "Sikura" blocks the engine in three different ways, uses a special patent for the way to break the ignition.

The security code "Sikura" has 10 billion combinations, and microprocessor control immediately responds to an attempt to decrypt or copy it. "Sikura" is easy and quick to install even in a car filled to capacity. Each complex includes everything you need for immediate installation. The service kit contains instructions, an electronic tester capable of checking the system in 30 seconds at the touch of a button, and a device for remote control programming; installation can be done in 3 seconds.

Anti-theft complex "Sikura" received a certificate of conformity of the State Standard of Russia and the recommendation of the Moscow traffic police for installation on all types of cars.

Vehicle access control

The increase in the number of cars implies an increase in the number of new garages, parking lots, in addition to the existing ones, near objects such as office buildings, enterprises, residential complexes, hotels.

At present, the problem of organizing the most efficient management of parking lots and garage complexes is more relevant than ever. For the most part, entrances to garages are controlled the old fashioned way: by a security guard, a barrier, or both. This is a rather inefficient access control measure. Modern advances in technology make it possible to use electronic control systems that perform their work without human intervention, automatically.

Such systems allow you to solve several problems at once. They not only control entry/exit, but also identify the driver and the car, record the time, place of travel, duration of stay in the controlled area.

Such a system includes:

- pass cards, the users of which are the owners of vehicles; sometimes such a pass is installed on the bottom of cars;

- readers that process the received information from passes and check it with their database;

- executive devices (barrier, gate);

- an intelligent block controller that manages the entire system, which decides whether the bearer of the pass is admitted to the facility or denied admission to the territory.

An important role in the entry/exit control system is played by the PC, which significantly expands the capabilities of the system.

With its help, all cases of entry / exit are recorded, it is possible to display a plan of the object on the monitor of the security service, indicating all elements of the system (gates, barriers, security sensors, voice messages), show the status of all the gates of the object, determine from which section the alarm was received . Thus, the level of security when using such a system is much higher, and there is a real opportunity to always respond in time and take the necessary measures in case of an unauthorized entry into the facility.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Bacteria help plants survive heat 03.04.2021

Root microbes from heat-tolerant plants help wheat cope with temperature stress.

Plants relate to heat in different ways: in some, resistance to high temperatures is innate, in others it can be awakened by special methods. If we want to sow agricultural crops where it is very hot, then we must choose a special variety, or wait until it is developed. But breeding new varieties takes time, and they can be very capricious in other ways.

However, there is another trick that allows plants to endure heat - they establish cooperation with soil bacteria. It is known that the microflora around the roots is often very favorable for plants in the sense that it allows them to endure difficult circumstances: drought, high salt content in the soil, or, for example, high temperatures.

But if some bacteria are used to protecting some plants from the heat, will they also protect some other species? This was decided to check the staff of the University of Science and Technology named after King Abdullah and the University of Vienna. They took the bacteria SA187 from the genus Enterobacter, which lives right inside the roots of Indigo silver, a small shrub that grows in rather hot countries, from Egypt to India. Wheat seeds were covered with bacteria from indigofera, waited for plants to grow from them, and these plants were heated for two hours at 44 ° C. The wheat with the bacteria remained intact and continued to flower. But wheat without bacteria after such a heat stroke stopped growing, and its leaves began to turn yellow.

The next experiment went on for several years, while wheat was grown in a field near Dubai, where the air can warm up to 45 ° C (although wheat is usually grown here in winter, when the temperature is lower). Wheat with bacteria turned out to be 20-50% more productive than regular wheat.

Finally, the researchers were able to decipher the molecular mechanism by which bacteria protect plants from heat. It turned out that substances secreted by microbes are converted into ethylene in plant tissues. And ethylene works in plants as a hormone that helps resist temperature stress. That is, the bacteria helped the wheat turn on its own anti-stress genes.

The bacterial way to protect against stress is quite simple and apparently quite effective. In addition, bacteria can be used not only against temperature stresses, but also in other extreme conditions.
