The subwoofer enclosure is made of chipboard and has an optimal shape for installation directly behind the rear seat (close to it). Of course, if the design of the car body allows it, as, for example, in almost all Japanese cars, station wagons, hatchbacks, Trade winds after 88 onwards, any Audi 100.

In different cars, the seats are installed at different angles, and accordingly, the angle 1 will be different for each and the dimensions of the walls will vary. But not by much: the dimensions of the speaker are such that the edges of the speaker are very close to the walls of the subwoofer and therefore the dimensions of the walls will not differ much. The main thing is that the volumes of chambers 1 and 2 are maintained with high accuracy. V1=16l, V2=11l (with phase inverter). The following are formulas by which you need to calculate the dimensions based on a given volume (S is the area of our trapezoid, h is the height, approximately 30cm).

Next step - bass reflex. Here is one BUT! The figure (below) shows only half of the bass reflex. It itself consists of two identical parts, one of which is inside the subwoofer, and the second is on top. Total length 44.2cm, diameter 7.3cm (F=50Hz). - the length should be just that! On the other hand, this has its own plus: if you put this subwoofer in a sedan, then the pipe goes straight into the cabin through the rear shelf and we have maximum efficiency. The subwoofer works for the listener, not for cargo in the trunk.

PS Before using the subwoofer, check the reliability of mounting license plates, lights, bumpers, doors .... (underline as necessary) :-)

Attention! Use only 75GDN-1-4. No other speakers fit.

I apologize for any sizing inaccuracies. Ideal dimensions were given, not actually used ones. In practice, the volume of the first chamber V1 may be in the range of 12-18 liters. The smaller the volume, the steeper the drop in the frequency response in the region of infra-low frequencies (in the direction of decreasing frequency, of course).
