Specialists of the German Democratic Republic have created the "Quad effect" installation, which creates a pseudo-quadraphonic sound effect. The schematic diagram of the installation is shown in the figure. The main signals are emitted by the Gr1 and Gr2 heads. The difference signal is emitted by additional heads Gr3 and Gr4, included in antiphase. Resistors R6 and R7 serve to reduce the signal level supplied to the additional heads.

The choice of the operating mode of the installation (stereophony or pseudoquadraphony) is made by pushbutton switch B2. Switch B3 changes the signal level on additional heads.
